{"id":51265,"date":"2020-01-14T09:07:06","date_gmt":"2020-01-14T07:07:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=51265"},"modified":"2020-01-13T13:12:40","modified_gmt":"2020-01-13T11:12:40","slug":"people-opposing-women-abuse-powa-latest-available-employment-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/people-opposing-women-abuse-powa-latest-available-employment-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA) Latest Available Employment Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA) is a women\u2019s rights organisation that aims to create space for women to enjoy their fundamental human rights in a free and safe environment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: <\/strong><strong>Projects Manager\/Training Facilitator\u00a0<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Johannesburg<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type: <\/strong>3 years Contract Position<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this position is to help in\u00a0its Community Mobilisation and Capacity Building Programme.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead, Manage and oversee the implementation of community and capacity building projects<\/li>\n<li>Developing Project Plan with clear Project deliverables and Time frames<\/li>\n<li>Develop Monitoring Tool to monitor project deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Compile high level Monthly and Quarterly Reports<\/li>\n<li>Manage and oversee women\u2019s writing project<\/li>\n<li>Review courseware and material development<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate trainings and workshops and provide feedback to Executive Management<\/li>\n<li>Develop a database of key strategic partners and build resilient relationships with them<\/li>\n<li>Develop an Organisational Calendar for Project activities<\/li>\n<li>Provide regular feedback to Executive Manager on Project Outcomes<\/li>\n<li>Contribute to the development and implementation of Organisational Strategy<\/li>\n<li>Assist in developing National, Regional and International advocacy strategies<\/li>\n<li>As part of a management team contribute to the development and implementation of the organisation strategy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Education and Training or National Diploma in Education and Training or Social Science is a prerequisite<\/li>\n<li>5 years\u2019 experience in Gender Based Violence or Human Rights organisation of which 3 years should be at Managerial Position\/Project Management Knowledge of Legislative Framework<\/li>\n<li>Constitution of RSA 108 of 1996<\/li>\n<li>Domestic Violence Act 116 of 1998<\/li>\n<li>NPO Act 71 of 1997<\/li>\n<li>Victim\u2019s Charter Skills and Competencies<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work with local government structures and community based organisations<\/li>\n<li>Experience in networking, fundraising and liaising with the donor community.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of national, regional and international advocacy on women\u2019s rights<\/li>\n<li>Ability to engage in media representation<\/li>\n<li>Ability to carry high workload and work under pressure<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to advancing women\u2019s rights<\/li>\n<li>Excellent Communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent Facilitation Skills<\/li>\n<li>Presentation Skills<\/li>\n<li>Leadership Skills<\/li>\n<li>High level Report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Deadline Driven<\/li>\n<li>Project Management skills<\/li>\n<li>Team work<\/li>\n<li>Speak two or more South African indigenous languages.<\/li>\n<li>High level of computer literacy (MS Office, Power Point, Excel, Intranet etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Valid Driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants should forward a Comprehensive and updated CV with three contactable references, one page Motivation &amp; Cover\u00a0Letter by Email: Vacancy@ powa.co.za.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Friday, 24 January, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>People Opposing Women Abuse (POWA) is a women\u2019s rights organisation that aims to create space for women to enjoy their fundamental human rights in a free and safe environment. &nbsp;&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[80],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
