We are looking for an Occupational Hygiene Officer for large mining projects throughout Southern Africa. This is a great opportunity to be part of a large well-known mining company in South Africa.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Occupational Hygiene Officer<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure the work environment comply with all the relevant hygienic standards to minimize potential health risk to employees.<\/li>\n<li>Close down any operations and activities which pose a health risk or threat to the workforce.<\/li>\n<li>Design and provide reports to management and use hierarchy of controls to minimize health risks to employees.<\/li>\n<li>Optimize human resources in a way that maximum output is delivered by the section as a whole.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure work ethics is of such a nature that workers continuously strive towards improving their own performance.<\/li>\n<li>Team effectiveness within a controlled risk environment.<\/li>\n<li>Manage a safe and healthy work environment where workers and contractor can deliver their outputs<\/li>\n<li>Estimate annual financial requirements for the section.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor expenditure on monthly basis.<\/li>\n<li>Keep up to date on SHE issues.<\/li>\n<li>Promote the company SHE policies.<\/li>\n<li>Manage implementation of SHE policies, objectives and targets.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The ideal candidate must have:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in Environmental Health\/ Safety\/ Environmental Science or related tertiary qualification.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced Certificate in Mine and Environmental Control<\/li>\n<li>Certificate in Mine Environmental Control issued by the Chamber of Mines of South Africa\/ Intermediate Certificate in Mine Environmental Control issued by the Chamber of Mines of South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Certified as an Occupational Hygienist by the South African Institute for Occupational Hygiene (SAIOH)<\/li>\n<li>3 Years&#8217; operational experience in a Mine Environment<\/li>\n<li>2 Years&#8217; team leader experience within Health and Safety<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row jobDetail\">\n<div class=\"contentText jsContentText\">\n<p><span class=\"uxBlack\">Desired Skills<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"leftList\">\n<div class=\"contentText jsContentText\">\n<ul>\n<li>Mining<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"rightList\">\n<div class=\"contentText jsContentText\">\n<ul>\n<li>Health &amp; Safety<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"row jobDetail\">\n<div class=\"contentText jsContentText\">\n<p><span class=\"uxBlack\">Desired Qualification Accreditation<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"leftList\">\n<div class=\"contentText jsContentText\">\n<ul>\n<li>Degree<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"lineSpaceContainer height2\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Aldelia is a Global Recruitment Company with offices globally and we now have a strong presence in South Africa.
