We are passionate about growing the emotional wellbeing of children and adolescents.<\/p>\n<p>Khululeka programmes include adult workshops on recognising and supporting grieving children and adolescents, and support groups for children and adolescents.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Programme Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Cape Town.<br \/>\n<strong>Start\u00a0date:<\/strong> 1 March 2020<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Full time; permanent<\/p>\n<p>The bpurpose of this\u00a0position is to\u00a0someone who is passionate about the wellbeing of children and who is motivated to make a difference.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Programme Management and Oversight: Ensure that the Khululeka Programme is well managed, by ensuring that proper operational planning, budgeting and monitoring systems are in place.<\/li>\n<li>Programme Planning and Coordination: Be responsible for the delivery of a high quality programme that is consistent with Khululeka\u2019s vision, mission and strategic direction, and that satisfies our clients\/stakeholders and\/or donor expectations.<\/li>\n<li>Programme Development: Extend and adapt Khululeka\u2019s programme to ensure that high quality programmes remain responsive to the needs of clients, yet remain aligned with Khululeka\u2019s overall vision and mission.<\/li>\n<li>Training: Provide high quality training and mentoring to professionals and para-professionals to support bereaved children and adolescents.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and Evaluation: Contribute towards the ongoing development of Khululeka\u2019s M&amp;E system and oversee the implementation of M&amp;E systems.<\/li>\n<li>Capacity Building and HR Management:\u00a0 Ensure that all Khululeka staff, including contract trainers, are supported to deliver high quality programmes.<\/li>\n<li>Networking:\u00a0 Support and assist the Director in networking within the child sector, the broader non-profit sector and government.<\/li>\n<li>Fundraising: Assist the Director to prepare and present proposals and manage and maintain funding relationships.<\/li>\n<li>Administration: Support the smooth administration through the implementation of efficient systems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Social Work degree.<\/li>\n<li>Ten years\u2019 of experience (preferable) in the child sector and an excellent knowledge of current issues relating to children and adolescents in South Africa.<\/li>\n<li>5 years+ experience in project and programme management.<\/li>\n<li>5 years+ experience in materials, curriculum and programme development.<\/li>\n<li>5 years+ or more experience in developing and implementing M&amp;E systems.<\/li>\n<li>5 years+ experience in training and mentoring people of different capacities, Training of Trainers.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with working with different donors and stakeholders in the child sector.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in facilitating support groups with children would be an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Direct experience in working with children and families would be an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Coaching qualification and experience an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Other:<\/li>\n<li>Excellent computer skills (email, internet, Microsoft Office).<\/li>\n<li>Excellent proficiency in English (speaking and writing).<\/li>\n<li>Xhosa or Afrikaans would be an advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Driver\u2019s license and own transport.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit the following to <strong><a href=\"mailto:prog.manager@khululeka.org\">prog.manager@khululeka.org<\/a>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A detailed CV<\/li>\n<li>Motivation letter<\/li>\n<li>A list of 3 referees<\/li>\n<li>Brief salary history and expectation<\/li>\n<li>Copy of driver\u2019s license<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>31 January 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Khululeka Grief Support is a dynamic Cape Town based NGO working in the child sector.
