technical assistance provider, systems strengthening and grants manager for health and social service in Southern Africa.<\/p>\n<p>Isibani seeks to appoint Focal Nurses to implement its NDoH Global fund TB \/ HIV program in the City of Johannesburg and Ekurhuleni Districts.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong><strong>TB Focal Nurse<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>South Africa<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Based at hospital \/ decentralised sites, the focal Nurse will work closely with the medical and nursing service manager and quality improvement focal person, to activate HIV \/ TB QI activities, coordinate and deliver services, and improve notification and linkage to care at PHCs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities and Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0<strong>Coordinate TB activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with hospital\/decentralised site management, HAST, sub district managers, and facility managers.<\/li>\n<li>Implement TB quality improvement (QI) activities, including establishing QI teams and facilitating QI meetings<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support data collection and data management activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Work closely with data capture\/data management teams<\/li>\n<li>Support QI activities to promote high quality data collation and data management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 TB, HIV Care and Prevention<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support in-hospital TB and HIV care and prevention activities, including screening, patient education, sputum collection and HIV testing<\/li>\n<li>Provide mentorship and support for provision of appropriate treatment for latent TB infection (LTBI) \u2013 3HP<\/li>\n<li>Support linkage to care in hospital<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a04.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Support active TB case finding<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Employ appropriate messaging to trigger demand-driven TB case finding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a05.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Promote and support infection prevention and control activities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Support hospital \/ decentralised management in implementation of effective IPT throughout the facicility<\/li>\n<li>Ensure staff adhere to standard operating procedures with respect to personal protective equipment (PPE)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Diploma \/ degree in \u00a0Nursing:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years\u2019 experience in nursing post registration<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate in English and at least one African language- isiZulu\/Sotho<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good leadership, mentoring and people management skills<\/li>\n<li>Proficient computer skills including email, record keeping, routine database activity, internet software, spreadsheet software and word processing software<\/li>\n<li>Excellent attention to detail and deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>Previous exposure within an NGO
