We are part of an influential stakeholder network in South Africa and abroad. Working closely with government it aims to ensure that all children in South Africa can read for meaning (Literacy) and calculate with confidence (Maths) in their home-language by the age of 10.<\/p>\n<p>We develop video\u00a0and print\u00a0materials\u00a0 in all official\u00a0South African languages to train teachers how to teach reading for meaning in Grades R-3 in those languages.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Chief Operations Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Salary: <\/strong>R650\u00a0000 \u2013 R950\u00a0000 depending on experience<br \/>\n<strong>Contract<\/strong>: Two Years with the possibility of renewal<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Reporting to the Executive Director this exciting new role will manage the day-to-day operations and the scale up of the program\u2019s reach and impact. This includes oversight of Media Production, Learning and Teaching Materials Development, Finance, HR, and IT.<\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate is a high-capacity generalist who works well under pressure, plans and executes systematically and has strong interpersonal and communication skills. They are confident, proactive, self-reliant and focused on performance.
