The Hospice Palliative Care Association of South Africa (HPCA)<\/span>\u00a0has a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with The Association for the Aged (TAFTA). This collaboration aims to improve access to palliative care for older people in South Africa through training, support and policy development.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Job Title: Trainer \/ Quality Assurance Mentor<\/strong> <\/p>\n The primary purpose of this position is to assess the quality of the HIV\/AIDS services provided at community level, design and implement quality improvement interventions, including training, to maintain the standards of care across community-based programs within the APACE Project. Position based in\u00a0King Cetshwayo District, KZN.<\/p>\n THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:<\/strong><\/p>\n Work with District staff to define standards of care for HIV\/AIDS services aligned with national and international guidelines and practices. Design and implement quality improvement interventions to address the provision of sub-standards services and ensure provision of high, quality care at community level. Train and mentor district staff and community stakeholders on the standards of care for HIV\/AIDS services at community level. \nCollaborate with the District to document agreed upon standards and institutionalise them. Design and develop tools to monitor and assess the quality of the community-based services provided by APACE team. Conduct regular assessments to monitor the standards of the care provided under community-based APACE programs. Work in close collaboration with MER team to document and report on the outcomes of the assessments, challenges identified and best practices, enabling informed and timely programmatic decisions.<\/p>\n
\nConduct SIMS assessments for CBOs and FBOs supported through APACE and implement quality improvement interventions to address identified gaps.
\nSupport the development and implementation APACE community component risk management (including the ongoing management and review of risk registers)<\/p>\n\n
\nDesign customized training courses and workshops to address the specific needs of community stakeholders and DoH staff.
\nDevelop work aids, training material and communication material to support the implementation of best practices and maintenance of standards of care.
\nProvide guidance to APACE team on the required standard of care and provide mentorship as needed.<\/p>\n\n
