The above position has become available in our Research Department. The purpose of this role will be to assisting with the general field duties, equipment and material, reporting into the Research Station Manager.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022General activities associated with plant husbandry \u2013 GSPP tunnels
\n\u2022Sanitation \u2013 sterilize seed trays, strainers, labels, clumps, drippers and multi-span floors following proper protocols; and remove and destroy all plant residues after the crop is finished in a tunnel
\n\u2022Sowing \u2013 prepare seed trays and sow seeds of experimental materials carefully in order to avoid any mechanical mixture
\n\u2022Transplanting \u2013 prepare and arrange planting seedlings in the multi-span
\n\u2022Pruning and trellising \u2013 prune and trellis plants in multi-span
\n\u2022Emasculating and Pollinating \u2013 Emasculate flowers and do hand pollinations as per set protocols
\n\u2022Harvesting \u2013 harvest, extract, ferment, clean, dry and package of seeds
\n\u2022Adhere to all the rules and procedures set for the GSPP facility
\n\u2022Perform any other general farm and tunnel duties as required<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Valid driver\u2019s license
\n\u2022Practical experience in both open field and protected growing environments<\/p>\n
