Job Title: Finance Officer (Debtors)<\/strong> Job Functions Accounting,Administration,Finance Specification<\/strong> \u2022Payment verification, issue invoices for payment required, receipts\/proof of payment for payments received, and refunds where necessary; Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n We require the following skills and abilities:

\nYou will be responsible to:<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Process daily cash deposits and direct deposits from CMS debtors in the General Ledger for reconciliation purposes;
\n\u2022 Prepare a monthly reconciliation regarding fees for accreditation, rule amendments, appeal fees and penalties for financial control purposes;
\n\u2022 Physical verify all CMS fixed assets and ensure that all assets are accounted for, on a quarterly basis;
\n\u2022 Update fixed assets movements in the Fixed Assets Management System;
\n\u2022 Issue petty cash after ascertaining that petty cash requisitions are for business transactions only;
\n\u2022 Prepare a petty cash reconciliation report and request petty cash cheque to support daily business operations; and
\n\u2022 Daily secure the safekeeping of the CMS cheque book in order to prevent potential fraud.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Diploma in Financial Accounting or equivalent qualification;
\n\u2022 3 Years\u2019 experience working in accounting: (Debtors\/Creditors) control;
\n\u2022 3 Years\u2019 experience working with auditors, banks and other financial institutions;
\n\u2022 Knowledge of utilisation of accounting systems (E.g. Accountmate, SAP, Oracle, Pastel Evolution etc.);
\n\u2022 Knowledge of all legislation impacting and influencing the functioning of the CMS (e.g. Medical Schemes Act, PFMA and Treasury Regulations etc.);
\n\u2022 Knowledge of the Public Sector operations and the Medical Schemes industry would be an added advantage;
\n\u2022 Analytical skills & attention to detail; and
\n\u2022 MS Office.<\/p>\n
