Persons with visual impairment who meet the requirements are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: National\u00a0 Executive Director<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> South Africa<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree in developmental studies, management or social sciences, business and\/or law;<\/li>\n<li>Five years\u2019 experience in senior management with exceptional leadership qualities.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of advocacy in the disability sector in general and blindness sector in particular will be an added advantage.<\/li>\n<li>Core Competencies required:<\/li>\n<li>The successful applicant must demonstrate the following:<\/li>\n<li>Strong Leadership skills:<\/li>\n<li>be competent, accountable and a strategic leader with the ability to communicate at all levels internally and externally, including and not limited to relevant stakeholders in the public and private sectors.<\/li>\n<li>Be a team player with good communication and negotiation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Have sound financial Management and policy development skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strategic and Tactical Management:To provide overall leadership to the organization.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the formulation of policies and processes including financial controls, management and dissemination of information.<\/li>\n<li>Financial Reporting and Budgeting:\u00a0 Overseeing the development of business plans, budgets, and annual reports.
