{"id":52974,"date":"2020-03-10T14:24:20","date_gmt":"2020-03-10T12:24:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=52974"},"modified":"2020-03-10T14:27:25","modified_gmt":"2020-03-10T12:27:25","slug":"the-adonis-musati-project-amp-current-job-vacancy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/the-adonis-musati-project-amp-current-job-vacancy.html","title":{"rendered":"The Adonis Musati Project (AMP) Current Job Vacancy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Adonis Musati Project (AMP) was named after a young Zimbabwean man who died of starvation on the streets of Cape Town while queuing to get his asylum papers.<\/p>\n<p>The project strives to empower marginalised refugees and migrants in South Africa through fostering sustainable support networks and encouraging personal development that achieves lasting change.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Bookkeeper<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Wynberg, Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Hours &#8211;\u00a0Mon to Thu 8.30am to 3pm and Fri 8.30 to 12.30pm.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this position is\u00a0to find a person to assist in the Finance team but someone who will also perform numerous Office Admin and Payroll Support tasks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Load creditor details and capture payments on banking platform<\/li>\n<li>Weekly cash counts<\/li>\n<li>Issuing petty cash and disbursement of vouchers to beneficiaries<\/li>\n<li>Preparing recurring monthly payment requisitions for regular payments<\/li>\n<li>Refreshing SAGE and allocating new transactions to correct accounts and funders<\/li>\n<li>Recording petty cash transactions in SAGE<\/li>\n<li>Filing, preparing new files, printing POP\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Assist in the preparation for the annual audit and additional donor specific audits.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum Grade 12 with accounting or financial administration qualifications.<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience as a bookkeeper essential<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in an NGO preferable and have a desire to work in an NGO<\/li>\n<li>Be highly computer literate: Intermediate Excel skills a must and SAGE Online knowledge advantageous<\/li>\n<li>Drivers license and car required<\/li>\n<li>Ability to speak and write fluently in English<\/li>\n<li>Must be organized and work efficiently<\/li>\n<li>Be committed, honest and reliable and be willing to work as part of the team<\/li>\n<li>A \u201ccan do\u201d attitude and be willing to assist in areas out of the job description<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants should send their CV&#8217;s to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:Hr@adonismusatiproject.org\">Hr@adonismusatiproject.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Friday, 13 March, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Adonis Musati Project (AMP) was named after a young Zimbabwean man who died of starvation on the streets of Cape Town while queuing to get his asylum papers.
