They do this by connecting people and information, enhancing capability and mobilising resources to respond innovatively to the challenges and opportunities that climate change presents.<\/p>\n<p>Being positioned in the Global South affords SSN a deeper understanding of, and connection to, the climate and development challenges facing the region. Forming part of the Small Grants Facility (SGF) Project Management Team, representing the Executing Entity together with the operations project manager, the primary role of this job is to take responsibility for operations, administration and finance activities and to provide technical oversight and support in the SGF project.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Junior Operations Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>South Africa<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this position\u00a0will be to support the technical and strategic implementation of SSN\u2019s operations and organisational workflow. The role also includes operationalising workflow systems, and the last-mile implementation and subsequent maintenance of the organisation\u2019s financial architecture.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Project Operations:<\/li>\n<li>Budget design, construction and implementation oversight<\/li>\n<li>Bid submission management<\/li>\n<li>Project resourcing<\/li>\n<li>Programme-level financial management<\/li>\n<li>Reporting on financial and operational deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Organisational, Operations and Workflow Management:<\/li>\n<li>The design, building, maintenance and analysis of systems and processes that collate and track project and organisational information with the goal of creating efficiencies and improving decision-making within every level at SSN.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant Degree: BBusSci and preferrably 3years or more relevant work experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have an excellent eye for detail, are a problem solver and a solutions-orientated individual who is not afraid of making decisions and has great analytical skills then they would like to hear from you.<\/p>\n<p>For more information,\u00a0please refer to the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/southsouthnorth.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/Junior-Operations-Officer-2020.docx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Terms of Reference<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please complete this <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/u\/1\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSdxiSs64ME6NwWemg8czsdbnDlq1DHlKBU5MTYYuQyMJSCSLQ\/viewform\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Google Form<\/a><\/strong>.
