\nA Data Manager is being recruited for the following role: Data Manager: Ops Reporting (Siyenza)<\/p>\n
\nThe Data Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the collection and submission of high quality and timely data. The Data Manager is responsible for the following:
\n\u2022Overseeing data capturing and filing
\n\u2022Monitoring employees and ensuring continuous quality improvement
\n\u2022Quality control and monitoring of the data capture process
\n\u2022Troubleshooting with database and data entry checks, using reports to improve site performance
\n\u2022Streamlining of data management procedures
\n\u2022Training\/mentoring of staff.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Oversee the collection and submission of quality and timely data through implementing rigorous quality controls and prioritisation of data integrity
\n\u2022Manage the Data teams to ensure that they are suitably trained, coached and mentored, supervising up to 5 \u2013 10 staff members.
\n\u2022Manage the data validation plan. Create and approve validation checks and reports necessary to ensure high quality and consistent data
\n\u2022Maintain the data completion manuals which should correspond with the instructions to the sites and the data entry instructions.
\n\u2022Review and contribute to the development of Aurum\u2019s data management SOP\u2019s, guidelines and operational manuals.
\n\u2022Complete tasks for other units within Reporting including DATIM Reporting, CHTS and other teams as required.
\n\u2022Implement the data management SOP\u2019s and guidelines
\n\u2022A track record of methodical work and meticulous attention to detail.
\n\u2022Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
\n\u2022Ability to speak effectively before groups of stakeholders or employees from other organizations
\n\u2022Ability to define problems, collect data, establishes facts and draw valid conclusions.
\n\u2022Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
\n\u2022Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
\n\u2022Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
\n\u2022An ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with staff from all levels.<\/p>\n
\nYOU SHOULD HAVE:
\nQualification
\n\u2022Grade 12 or NQF 4 Qualification
\n\u2022Tertiary qualification in a relevant field is preferred<\/p>\n
\n\u2022At least 5 years data management experience
\n\u2022Basic Database development and analytical skills
\n\u2022At least 5 years\u2019 experience in the health industry or research environment<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Experience with data collection processes in Department of Health facilities and knowledge of DOH \/ PEPFAR indicators is desirable<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Willing to work overtime, weekends and\/or irregular hours. This position is supporting key functions and frequently requires working irregular hours and being able to have a flexible home life and work-life balance.
\n\u2022Ability to work accurately under pressure, meet deadlines and handle multiple concurrent reporting demands.
\n\u2022Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
\n\u2022Ability to communicate data and information matters to non-technical and IT conversant Employees
\n\u2022Familiarity\/understanding of relational databases and at least one data management system
\n\u2022Understanding\/experience with project management
\n\u2022Understanding of HIV\/AIDS and TB
\n\u2022Valid Driver\u2019s license
\n\u2022Own transport
\n\u2022Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land or air, if required
\n\u2022Excellent Excel skills and proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spread sheet, graphics
\n\u2022Microsoft Office Suite as an end user
\n\u2022SA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa<\/p>\n
