We are currently adding Software Developer to our Talent Pool.<\/p>\n<p>As a Mid-Level Developer, you will work alongside junior &amp; senior developers in the development &amp; maintenance of Web Applications, ETL processes as well as integration of business applications.You will also be required to learn and configure the various core internal systems,Projects will range from small distinct pieces of work to long term program engagments, You will be expected to learn the software and programming languages and frameworks in place. Must be able to deliver quality work on your assigned projects.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Talent Pool-Software Developer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:<\/strong> # DEV-31-03-2020<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Permanent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specification<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Responsibilitie<\/strong>s:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Configuration of the internal core systems<\/li>\n<li>Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses<\/li>\n<li>Creating databases, tables, views, functions etc<\/li>\n<li>Writing relational and multidimensional database queries<\/li>\n<li>Active participation in scoping and design exercises as part of the development team<\/li>\n<li>Testing of code and ensuring that completed work correctly meets requirements, and is in accordance with agreed designs<\/li>\n<li>Conduct post implementation monitoring<\/li>\n<li>Work in conjunction with other developers on development projects and ensure that your work is compatible with, and does not duplicate the work of others<\/li>\n<li>Obtain business requirements and provide an analysis for the requirements and impact<\/li>\n<li>Assist in problem resolution to the team through problem research<\/li>\n<li>Work with Senior staff to ensure code is managed and controlled according to the source control strategy for the project in question<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Duties:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Your goal will be to build efficient solutions that solve business challenges in a fast paced environment<\/li>\n<li>You will be working with business to understand requirements and deliver solutions<\/li>\n<li>You will be required to research new technologies from time to time, specifically where they relate to the strategic direction of the business, or a current project<\/li>\n<li>Translate business needs to technical specifications<\/li>\n<li>Help write and optimize in-application SQL statements<\/li>\n<li>Debugging, monitoring and troubleshooting solutions<\/li>\n<li>Analytical mind with a problem-solving aptitude<\/li>\n<li>Adherence to software development best practices and compliance with the instructions of the Manager are expected at all times<\/li>\n<li>You will also be required to perform administrative and other ad-hoc functions as and when required by the team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Minimum of 3 year\u2019s experience in a development environment \uf0b7 Experience in working with the following:<br \/>\nMicrosoft Software Development Stack (C#\/ASP.Net\/SQL\/Visual Studio)<br \/>\nMySQL &amp; PHP<br \/>\nLow code platforms \uf0b7<br \/>\nKnowledge of business processes and functional areas<br \/>\nCompletion of a 1 year IT qualification from an accredited institution with specific exposure and experience with Microsoft SQL will be advantageous \uf0b7<br \/>\nExperience in the following will be advantageous<br \/>\nMicrosoft BI Tools (SSIS\/SSRS)<br \/>\nVisual Studio Team services \/ GIT\/ GIT<br \/>\nZoho Developmen<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contract type: <\/strong>Perm-Flexi<\/p>\n<p>Please note that if you meet the minimum requirements for the role we will be in contact with you, however should we not contact you by close of this advert please consider your application unsuccessful.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jb.skillsmapafrica.com\/Account\/Login?ReturnUrl=%2FCandidate%2FFullRegistration%3FJobKey%3Dc022dae1d04848b18871479608f2a691%26isApplication%3D1&amp;ReturnUrlWithProfile=%2FJob%2FIndex%2F39452%3FAutoApply%3DTrue\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>31\/05\/2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are passionate about building a talent pool with skilled candidates who have a keen interest in joining a progressive business.
