{"id":53667,"date":"2020-04-07T13:38:17","date_gmt":"2020-04-07T11:38:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=53667"},"modified":"2020-04-07T13:38:17","modified_gmt":"2020-04-07T11:38:17","slug":"higher-education-and-training-health-wellness-and-development-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/higher-education-and-training-health-wellness-and-development-centre.html","title":{"rendered":"Higher Education and Training Health Wellness and Development Centre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Higher Education and Training Health Wellness and Development Centre is an implementing agency of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) in respect of health, wellness and development of students and staff at 26 public universities and 50 technical and vocational education and training (TVET) colleges, with some 400 campuses across the country.<\/p>\n<p>The organisation is a national force for youth development, inspiring and enabling students to safeguard their health and wellbeing and pursue opportunities for personal growth and social responsibility.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Campus Health &amp; Wellness Coordinators<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Gauteng &#8211; City of Johannesburg and North West &#8211; Bonjanala District<\/p>\n<p>The Campus Health and Wellness Coordinators will work at campus and institutional level and is responsible for managing and coordinating Peer Mentors, Educators and Mobilizers at assigned Universities and TVET campuses. The incumbent will be responsible for rollout of projects and programmes related to student health, wellness and development at assigned Campuses.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities for this exciting and challenging senior position include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recruiting of Peer Mentors at every campus level and coordinating, facilitating &amp; training of Peer Mentors at District &amp; Sub-District Institutional level<\/li>\n<li>Managing &amp; monitoring of peer mentor contracts and deliverables<\/li>\n<li>Conducting pre and post-test counselling on HIV\/TB and STI\u2019s<\/li>\n<li>Implementing biometric systems and compiling risk profiles as per the indicators and targets<\/li>\n<li>Participating, Marketing, Advocating &amp; Lobbying of services through the peer mentor dialogues<\/li>\n<li>Data collection as per biometric system and risk profiling<\/li>\n<li>Weekly Data collection from peer mentors and from partners and submission to M &amp; E officers<\/li>\n<li>Partner mapping for onsite services that includes ARVs, PrEP, Contraception, MMC, Psychosocial support for GBV &amp; mental health<\/li>\n<li>Linkage to off-site services for treatment, care and support<\/li>\n<li>Scheduling and implementing monthly FTF pre and post activations with Campus Managers and Student Support and Institutional management at every campus to encourage mass peer to peer testing and screening for HIV\/TB\/STI, non-communicable, SRHR, along with knowledge generation through partners on SRHR, GBV, Mental illness among others<\/li>\n<li>Implementing of Higher Education and Training Health Wellness &amp; Development Centre Institutional social media as per Higher Education and Training Health Wellness &amp; Development Centre communication and social media plan &amp; protocol<\/li>\n<li>General Facilities Administration of Institutional offices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The\u00a0Campus Health and Wellness Coordinators\u00a0must possess and be able to demonstrate:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A post-matric qualification in business administration or related field<\/li>\n<li>Strong coordination and people management skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to conduct pre and post-test counselling on HIV\/TB and STIs at lay counsellor level<\/li>\n<li>Experience in biometrics and risk profiling<\/li>\n<li>Experience in data collection and analysis<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy including Excel, PowerPoint and Word<\/li>\n<li>Advocacy and lobbying skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong stakeholder engagement and networking skills<\/li>\n<li>Good administrative skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent multi-tasking, time and stress management skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>View the full job description and application instructions on the Vacancies page at<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.actionappointments.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.actionappointments.co.za<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>and email your application to<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:tracy@actionappointments.co.za\">tracy@actionappointments.co.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong> Monday,\u00a013<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0April 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Higher Education and Training Health Wellness and Development Centre is an implementing agency of the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) in respect of health, wellness and development of&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[178],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
