It is a facility that provides residential\/place of safety services with accordance to the children\u2019s Act 35 0f 2005. It cares for approximately 20 children in a family context.<\/p>\n<p>They are a registered House of Safety\/Cluster Foster Home\/NPO(131-865) based in Mbonisweni\/Back Door, South Africa! They focus on children-in-crisis within their\u00a0community by providing Christ-centered family care which often grows into \u2018forever family\u2019 foster placement or adoption!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Child and Youth Care Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Nelspruit<br \/>\n<strong>Employment type:<\/strong> Work full-time as House Parent (24\/7)<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of the position is\u00a0to be a\u00a0loving care giver for all the children at the base, especially the children placed in their house.\u00a0This position may be filled by a single woman.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Provide care for all children.<\/li>\n<li>Offer physical, emotional, and spiritual support to the children on a daily basis.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborate with the on-site social worker for the development of the children.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Age between 27-45<\/li>\n<li>Grade 12 or equivalent<\/li>\n<li>A Diploma in Child and Youth Care NQF level 4<\/li>\n<li>Social Axillary worker qualification<\/li>\n<li>Current Registration with SACSSP<\/li>\n<li>Police and Child Protection Register clearance<\/li>\n<li>A Christian faith<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in English and Siswati<\/li>\n<li>Desired Qualities:\n<ul>\n<li>Experience in a residential CYCC<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of the Childrens Act and other child related legislation<\/li>\n<li>An understanding of how a happy and healthy family operates<\/li>\n<li>Conflict Management<\/li>\n<li>Leadership and Self-Motivation<\/li>\n<li>Energetic, Loving, and Patient personality<\/li>\n<li>Drivers License\/ PDP<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Benefits:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position will earn R4,000 per month with opportunities of future increase.\u00a0Higher salaries can be discussed based on experience and qualifications.<\/li>\n<li>This position will earn a standard three weeks (21 days including weekends) annual leave per year.\u00a0The employee will also be granted one weekend off every 8 weeks.\u00a0This position will also provide standard sick, family responsibility, and emergency leave.<\/li>\n<li>This employee will be provided with free housing, food, and job-related transportation while on duty at the center.<\/li>\n<li>Opportunities of Continuing Education.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Submit CV, qualifications and contactable references or queries with salary expectations to<strong> <a href=\"mailto:management.mcv@gmail.com\">management.mcv@gmail.com<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Saturday, 6 June, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Michael\u2019s Childrens Village is a Child and Youth Care Centre (CYCC).
