The Haven believes no one should have to live on the streets.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Social Auxiliary Work<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Cape Town<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this position find a person that will help with\u00a0the betterment of the lives of the people we serve (Homeless People). Effective functioning of the social work aspect is pivotal to the success of our organization. The main task is to consult with residents and provide social services to them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Social Auxiliary Workers will be responsible for the initial intake of clients including their safety and care,<\/li>\n<li>Casework and Client Representation,<\/li>\n<li>The Annual Social Work Service Delivery Plan &amp; Reports,<\/li>\n<li>Group and Community Work,<\/li>\n<li>Pension and General Administration,<\/li>\n<li>Shelter and Staff,<\/li>\n<li>\u200bPublic Relations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Code 08 drivers licence,<\/li>\n<li>Social Auxiliary Work Certificate and registered,<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interact with clients from different cultures and religions,<\/li>\n<li>Manage conflict situations,<\/li>\n<li>Basic level of computer literacy &#8211; MS Office,<\/li>\n<li>MS Excel and Outlook,<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work as a team player,<\/li>\n<li>\u200bNo criminal record, be in good health and experience in the NGO sector will be an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please send two pages CV and motivational letter to HR\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:recruitment@haven.org.za\">recruitment@haven.org.za<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0quoting &#8220;Social Auxilliary Worker The Haven Night Shelter Welfare Organisation&#8221; in the subject line.
