Our mission is to promote access to quality health and social services through innovations and technology. AQUITY\u2019s programmatic focus areas include HIV, TB, health systems strengthening, capacity development Orphans and Vulnerable Children as well as other interventions targeting key populations.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Programme and Vacancy overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>AQUITY Innovations NPC has been appointed by the National Department of Health to serve as one of the GLOBAL FUND TB Sub-Recipients (SRs) in South Africa. The project activities will be implemented in Mpumalanga (Ehlanzeni district) and Eastern Cape provinces. (OR Tambo and Buffalo City Metro districts). As such we seek to employ the following:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0IT Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong>\u00a0Commensurate with required experience and qualifications<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to:<\/strong>\u00a0 Aquity Director<\/p>\n<p><strong>Roles and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The IT Officer responsible for maintenance of the network; telecommunications administration; and maintenance; hardware and software procurement and installation; data base programming; and technical assistance and training in software.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specific duties include (but not limited to) the following:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analysing workflow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.<\/li>\n<li>Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.<\/li>\n<li>Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support.<\/li>\n<li>Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.<\/li>\n<li>Protects organization&#8217;s value by keeping information confidential.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the integrity of high availability network infrastructure to provide maximum performance for users.<\/li>\n<li>Manage company website and social medical platforms. Process any requested updates and changes.<\/li>\n<li>Establishing the networking environment by designing system configuration, directing system installation, defining, documenting and enforcing system standards.<\/li>\n<li>Design and implementation of new solutions and improving resilience of the current environment.<\/li>\n<li>Maximizing network performance by monitoring performance, troubleshooting network problems and outages, scheduling upgrades on network optimization.<\/li>\n<li>undertaking data network fault investigations in local and wide area environments, using information from multiple sources.<\/li>\n<li>Support and administration of firewall environments in line with IT security policy<\/li>\n<li>Upgrading data network equipment to the latest stable firmware releases;<\/li>\n<li>Configuration of routing and switching equipment;<\/li>\n<li>Remote troubleshooting and fault finding if issues occur upon initial installation<\/li>\n<li>Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems<\/li>\n<li>Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Preserve assets, information security and control structures<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Facilitate procurements and standards for ICT equipment\u2019s for the organizations and ensures cost effectiveness<\/li>\n<li>Manage relationships and contract with service providers<\/li>\n<li>Manage server system systems and\u00a0ICT infrastructure around telecommunications<\/li>\n<li>Ensure disaster recovery plans are in place in for business continuity e.g. Backup server files, UPS for power failure, Synchronization, Data storage on cloud.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Required Experience and Qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Diploma in information technology (NQF Level 6) \/ BSC degree or related<\/li>\n<li>4 years\u2019 experience managing server systems and ICT infrastructure, Network envrioments, Windows, Cisco, PABX, Telephony, LAN, WiFi, AP, DNS, DHCP, TCP\/IP and knowledge of Windows Active directory.<\/li>\n<li>Proven track record of administering Windows servers, WAN\/LAN connects and performing backups and restorations of data.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to perform system updates, upgrades, migrations, and manage outages.<\/li>\n<li>Certifications in either technical support or systems support highly preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Industry recognised certificates (Cisco &amp; Microsoft)<\/li>\n<li>Administration of Ms Office 365, Sonicwall Firewalls, ubiquiti wifi (advantage)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Key skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Patience<\/li>\n<li>IT and technical skills<\/li>\n<li>Problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<li>Enthusiasm<\/li>\n<li>Teamworking skills<\/li>\n<li>Initiative<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please send your CV and cover letter, indicating the position and district applied for, to<strong> <a href=\"mailto:info@aquity.org\">info@aquity.org<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong>\u00a015<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0May 2020.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>AQUITY Innovations NPC, a Section 21 South African-based registered not-for-profit organization, was established in 2010.
