The programme has the ambitious goal of zero youth unemployment in the local community by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnievale 418 is funded by the JGE Funding Trust, a dedicated and diverse group of community members who share a deeply held belief that every young person should have the opportunity to participate fully in learning and in life regardless of means or ability.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Project Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>South Africa<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job overview<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project manager will support this broader community transformation agenda through the four-pronged education and youth development programme. The project manager will primarily support the Programme Director and will work alongside a team of four trustees charged with delivering predefined programme objectives across the four programme streams. Key activities include supporting partnerships (government, funders, programme collaborators, local community organisations), team capacity building, fundraising, research, communication, and reporting and administration.<br \/>\nThe position is based in Bonnievale, Western Cape.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preparing annual project plans and budgets and ensuring that the plans, objectives and functions of the team are achieved within the planned time frame.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring timely compilation and preparation of the programme\u2019s periodic finance and programme reports, and submission to donors and stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Planning and developing project proposals to source funds.<\/li>\n<li>Planning and developing programme communication materials to support stakeholder engagement and fundraising efforts.<\/li>\n<li>Equipping and supporting other programme staff (Programme Director, Education Relationship Manager, Careers Manager) in delivering work stream goals and objectives.<\/li>\n<li>Designing and implementing (or improving) administrative directives that will allow Bonnievale 418 to improve management efficiency and performance.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating regular management meetings and ensuring that administrative procedures are understood and adhered to.<\/li>\n<li>Supervising regular data collection exercises and monitoring programme trends.<\/li>\n<li>Conducting local market analysis as required to support programme work streams.<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to continuous learning, performance and accountability, and building team capacity in planning, monitoring and reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fluent in English and Afrikaans, with excellent writing and editing skills.<\/li>\n<li>Team building skills, working with people at various levels and with different backgrounds.<\/li>\n<li>Good all-round computer skills (windows, excel, powerpoint, project management tools).<\/li>\n<li>Proven administrative skills.<\/li>\n<li>Training and facilitation skills on components of project management.<\/li>\n<li>Skills in budgeting and financial management.<\/li>\n<li>Skills in development of theory of change\/ logical framework.<\/li>\n<li>Fundraising skills, including networking, proposal development and high level funder engagement.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of basic and further education sectors, including government structures, policies and plans, and social sector landscape in education.<\/li>\n<li>A valid driver\u2019s license.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Education and experience profile:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Tertiary qualification in Social Sciences, Business Studies, Project Management or development related discipline.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent understanding and\/or knowledge of result-based management, project design, and project cycle management.<\/li>\n<li>5 years\u2019 experience in project management position, including social researching, monitoring, evaluating, stakeholder engagement and writing narrative and financial reports.<\/li>\n<li>Experience in procedures and reporting requirements of donor organisations.<\/li>\n<li>Experience working for a humanitarian\/development organisation is an added advantage, especially in education or youth
