The project activities will be implemented in Mpumalanga (Ehlanzeni district) and Eastern Cape provinces. (OR Tambo and Buffalo City Metro districts).<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ngopulse.org\/everlytic\/ngo_pulse_newsletter\/73254\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">http:\/\/www.ngopulse.org\/everlytic\/ngo_pulse_newsletter\/73254<\/a><br \/>\nAs such we seek to employ the following:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Position<\/strong>: TB Medical Officer (1)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Working with districts to support all TB related activities under the grant<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that routine testing of newly diagnosed HIV positive clients for TB is conducted.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that there is routine testing of HIV positive pregnant women for TB on enrolment in antenatal care.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that testing of clients for TB using X-pert ultra and urine LAM is done.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring treatment of all eligible patients for LTBI.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the roll out of 3HP.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring and supporting monitoring and reporting and management of adverse drug events for first line TB medicines (ADSM).<\/li>\n<li>Conducting capacity building for health care workers on clinical management, infection control and ethics.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring and support project staff placed at facility level.<\/li>\n<li>Conducting quality of care assessments.<\/li>\n<li>Providing support to decentralised sites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Reports<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ability to compile and submit monthly and quarterly technical reports<\/li>\n<li>Provide activity-based reports as per the project guidelines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Medical Degree and HPCSA registration<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and experience of TB, DR-TB, TB\/HIV<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated clinical knowledge and experience at facility level<\/li>\n<li>Proven health systems strengthening and QI experience<\/li>\n<li>Sound programme management skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong decision making and problem-solving abilities<\/li>\n<li>Excellent reporting and documenting skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build interpersonal relationships.<\/li>\n<li>High level of decision making and creative problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work in a team<\/li>\n<li>Experience in clinical &amp; research environment would be an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Email cover letter and CV to<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:info@aquity.org\">info@aquity.org<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nCandidates are requested to use the position name as reference for the position they are applying for.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>\u00a019<sup>th<\/sup> May 2020<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Please note:\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Only candidates who are eligible to work in South Africa for an indefinite period without a need for sponsorship will be considered for this position.
