{"id":54778,"date":"2020-05-27T09:23:17","date_gmt":"2020-05-27T07:23:17","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=54778"},"modified":"2020-05-27T21:30:33","modified_gmt":"2020-05-27T19:30:33","slug":"the-south-african-red-cross-society-sarcs-latest-job-vacancy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/the-south-african-red-cross-society-sarcs-latest-job-vacancy.html","title":{"rendered":"The South African Red Cross Society (SARCS) Latest Job Vacancy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The South African Red Cross Society (SARCS) is a National Society that was established by an Act of Parliament as a humanitarian organization auxiliary to the Government in the humanitarian field.<\/p>\n<p>The auxiliary mandate of SARCS as stipulated in the Red Cross Act, demands that it plays a pivotal role in complimenting Governments efforts in Disaster management, Social Services\u00a0\u00a0 and Health Services.\u00a0 The SARCS service provision aims at preventing and alleviating human suffering, protecting life and health, and restoring the dignity of the most vulnerable communities.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: <\/strong><strong>Disaster Management Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>PRETORIA<\/p>\n<p><strong>MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB<\/strong>:<br \/>\nTo coordinate the implementation of disaster risk reduction and emergency response programme activities.\u00a0 This entails strengthening community resilience to disasters, strengthening the SARCS humanitarian response and advancing learning through innovative knowledge management.<\/p>\n<p><strong>KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Assist in strengthening disaster management capacities of Branches and Provinces to ensure timely and effective humanitarian response.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate knowledge management and lesson learning mechanisms and tools.
