{"id":54810,"date":"2020-05-28T20:28:07","date_gmt":"2020-05-28T18:28:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=54810"},"modified":"2020-05-28T20:28:07","modified_gmt":"2020-05-28T18:28:07","slug":"hpca-recent-employment-opportunity-apply-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/hpca-recent-employment-opportunity-apply-now.html","title":{"rendered":"HPCA Recent Employment Opportunity &#8211; Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The primary purpose of this position below is to provide testing and counselling services and become an integral part of the broader comprehensive care and treatment program in a non-Clinical site and\/or community that links the community into care.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0TEMP Lay Counsellors<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Mpumalanga: Ehlanzeni District, Mbombela\/Thaba Chweu Local Municipality<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Implement Targeted Community HIV Testing Services<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HIV pre-test, post-test counselling<\/li>\n<li>Adherence counselling<\/li>\n<li>Conduct Index Testing and Mobile testing<\/li>\n<li>Give health education on health-related issues<\/li>\n<li>Give support to both infected and affected clients<\/li>\n<li>Provide education on HIV, TB and STIs prevention strategies<\/li>\n<li>Participate in organizing HIVAIDS awareness events<\/li>\n<li>Promote HIV counselling, testing and condom use<\/li>\n<li>Conduct screening for TB and STIs<\/li>\n<li>Collect data<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Implement Active Referral and Linkage to Care<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Refer and link all new HIV, TB, STI cases<\/li>\n<li>Link HIV negative patients to preventative service providers<\/li>\n<li>Trace defaulters and link them back to the mainstream<\/li>\n<li>Collect data<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Implement Adherence Support:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Introduce a risk reduction plan for clients in the post-test counselling and the adherence support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE (Minimum requirements)<\/strong><strong>:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Matric \/ Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent<\/li>\n<li><strong>Accredited training certificates:<\/strong>\n<ul>\n<li>Basic HIV information course, Intensive Counselling course and Adherence Counselling course and the ability to Counsel using the ACTS method<\/li>\n<li>Finger prick certificate<\/li>\n<li>Ability to communicate in English and one or more South African language(s) commonly spoken in the Sub-District<\/li>\n<li>Basic knowledge of HIV\/AIDS and TB &amp; Supporting people living with HIV<\/li>\n<li>Involvement in some aspect of community work will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Valid EB Driver\u2019s License with clean driving record and no traffic violations<\/li>\n<li>Clear criminal record<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum one to two years\u2019 experience in<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>HIV Counselling, Finger pricking and intensive adherence counselling<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Technical Skill and expertise<\/li>\n<li>Good communication Skills<\/li>\n<li>Customer Service orientation<\/li>\n<li>Detail Orientation<\/li>\n<li>High level of integrity<\/li>\n<li>Team work<\/li>\n<li>Adaptability<\/li>\n<li>Compassion<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please submit a detailed CV, covering letter and names of three contactable references including email contact to<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hr@hpca.co.za\">hr6@hpca.co.za. <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Wednesday, 10 June 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The primary purpose of this position below is to provide testing and counselling services and become an integral part of the broader comprehensive care and treatment program in a non-Clinical&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[198],"tags":[2275],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/wordpress\/plugins\/seo\/ -->\n<title>HPCA Recent Employment Opportunity - Apply Now!
