Job Title:\u00a0<\/strong>Specialist – IT Applications Support<\/strong> Specification<\/strong><\/p>\n 1.PARTAKE IN INCIDENT MANAGEMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Resolve all application related incidents – either personally (1st line) or by overseeing service providers (2nd line), in accordance with SLA agreements, standards and procedures.<\/p>\n \u2022Execution of 1st line and 2nd line IT applications support in line with standards and procedures.<\/p>\n \u2022Identify problems and trends, review incident trends and history, and consolidate for problem management purposes.<\/p>\n \u2022Act as the super user for core EPPF applications.<\/p>\n 2. APPLICATION TESTING, INTEGRATION AND TRAINING<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Coordinate user acceptance testing as well as integration testing of applications into the existing\/new environment.<\/p>\n \u2022Perform end to end application quality assurance function and build test cases to for use in application changes.<\/p>\n \u2022Provide user training on the application (existing and new functionalities).<\/p>\n 3. ENSURE APPLICATION SUSTAINABILITY AND SECURITY<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Support users with application security incidents, including user ID setup, passwords and access.<\/p>\n \u2022Minimise avoidable security incidents resulting from support activities.<\/p>\n \u2022Execute activities aimed at ensuring network integrity, including backups, anti-virus and patch deployment.<\/p>\n \u2022Deliver IT support activities and ensure that they are executed in a manner which implements security and network policies.<\/p>\n \u2022Take corrective action where non-compliance to application policies are identified and escalate where necessary.<\/p>\n \u2022Review current access profiles (authorisations, passwords, permissions etc.) periodically to ensure adherence with EPPF policies.<\/p>\n \u2022Ensure the alignment of EPPF infrastructure and applications with IT policy.<\/p>\n 4. MANAGE ITC ASSETS<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Periodically assess the need to renew applications licenses, and the processes involved thereof.<\/p>\n \u2022Execute assess refreshment according to plans.<\/p>\n \u2022Assist in the review of requests for new ICT infrastructure and software.<\/p>\n 5.
