\nThe Adherence and Retention Counsellor is responsible for providing information and support to Participants as well as rendering psychosocial support counselling and mentoring on a regular basis resulting in adherence to the Study and retention of Participants.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Create and maintain favourable relationships with Internal and External Stakeholders
\n\u2022Participate in Counselling Quality Assurance Audits and Competency Assessments
\n\u2022Provide counselling and mentoring services resulting in the retention of Volunteers\/Participants.
\n\u2022Manage Participant Support Forums
\n\u2022Manage counselling administration
\n\u2022Recommend Counselling and Retention Strategies in accordance with relevant legislation and policies
\n\u2022Generate routine Reports and Correspondence
\n\u2022Identification and escalation of high risk situations or unresolved Volunteer\/Research Participant queries
\n\u2022Identification of process inadequacies and recommendations<\/p>\n
\nEducation
\n\u2022 Matric\/ Grade 12
\n\u2022 HIV\/AIDS Counselling Certificate or similar<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Knowledge of CCMD program
\n\u2022 Counselling experience<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Minimum 2 years\u2019 experience in HIV counselling and testing
\n\u2022 Minimum 2 years\u2019 community education and mobilisation experience<\/p>\n
\n\u2022 Intermediate Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
\n\u2022 Valid Driver\u2019s License and own vehicle
\n\u2022 SA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa
\n\u2022 Minimal\/Moderate\/Excessive overnight travel (up to 30%) by land or air if required
\n\u2022 Willing to work overtime<\/p>\n
