In our endeavour to support technology innovation, we would like to attract the best minds that are innovative, optimistic game changers and think beyond the obvious.<\/p>\n<p>Technology Innovation Agency endeavours to promote the careers of previously disadvantaged persons by applying the principles of the Employment Equity Act, as amended.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Portfolio Manager Commercialisation<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:<\/strong> # TIA01\/06\/2020<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Purpose<\/strong><br \/>\nTo support the division in assisting impactful technological innovations to be taken up in the market, in line with the division\u2019s strategy.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specification<\/strong><br \/>\nFinancial Management<br \/>\n\u2022Assist the division to develop divisional budgets and forecasts for EXCO and Board approval<br \/>\n\u2022Monitor and track financial performance against budget (operations and projects)<br \/>\n\u2022Manage and monitor the timeous disbursement of funding to ensure optimal operation of technology and innovation projects<br \/>\n\u2022New funding opportunities are identified and additional income is raised from third party investors<br \/>\n\u2022Manage repayment obligations that projects have to TIA (e.g. equity, royalties, and loans)<br \/>\n\u2022Monitor the usage of disbursed funds on a monthly basis<br \/>\n\u2022Analyse the Annual Financial Statements of beneficiaries<\/p>\n<p><strong>Governance, Portfolio Management and Reporting<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Adherence to all relevant policies, procedures and frameworks is maintained<br \/>\n\u2022Compliance to all TIA systems (fund management, performance management, HR,<br \/>\nFinance, stakeholder information, etc.) is maintained<br \/>\n\u2022All portfolio audit matters are resolved<br \/>\n\u2022Agreed turnaround times on key business processes are achieved<br \/>\n\u2022Project information is accurately and completely recorded on the fund management<br \/>\nsystem<br \/>\n\u2022Ensure timeous and accurate reporting as per requirements<br \/>\n\u2022Assist applicants with building a fundable opportunity and to assess Investment<br \/>\nopportunities<br \/>\n\u2022Provides support and assistance to projects to achieve their milestones<br \/>\n\u2022Pro-active identification of project risks and portfolio opportunities, together with project teams<br \/>\n\u2022Perform due diligence with a focus on financial, commercial as well as the technical<br \/>\naspects of TIA projects and programs<br \/>\n\u2022All aspects of the project life cycle from sourcing to exit are efficiently managed<br \/>\n\u2022Facilitate commercialisation of TIA projects\/investments<br \/>\n\u2022Build a pipeline of investment opportunities for the business unit<br \/>\n\u2022Perform client-centric and value adding project management of TIA projects\/investments<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stakeholder Management<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Provide input into the formulation of a stakeholder relationship strategy specific<br \/>\nto the business unit<br \/>\n\u2022In collaboration with the Marketing and Communications unit, ensure credible<br \/>\nsuccess stories are published<br \/>\n\u2022An effective eco-system is built around the portfolio including key stakeholder<br \/>\nrelations<br \/>\n\u2022Participate in events, meetings, workshops and conferences by giving input,<br \/>\navail skill, competency and expertise.
