The project strives to empower marginalised refugees and migrants in South Africa through fostering sustainable support networks and encouraging personal development that achieves lasting change.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Finance Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Wynberg, Cape Town.<\/p>\n<p>The working hours and salary for this role are negotiable and will be determined by the candidate&#8217;s level of experience.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overall management of the organisation\u2019s finance, planning, cost efficiency, reporting and analytics, and financial planning strategies for all of the organisation\u2019s programmes<\/li>\n<li>Forming part of the mgt team and working closely with the Executive Director<\/li>\n<li>Overseeing the payroll process and to an extent the operations of the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Supervise\/manage the bookkeeper and finance assistant<\/li>\n<li>Act as link between Director, Board, staff and donors<\/li>\n<li>Annual budgeting and planning for the organisation<\/li>\n<li>Working with Director to develop budgets for proposals<\/li>\n<li>Ability to handle multiple donor budgets and be flexible in adapting budgets to change<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for all financial reporting to funders, meeting their deadlines and maintaining relationships<\/li>\n<li>Be very comfortable with Excel and ability to extract data from SAGE, manipulate and create meaningful reports.<\/li>\n<li>Cash flow management and forecasting<\/li>\n<li>End of month trial balance review and sign off including ad hoc journal entries<\/li>\n<li>Understanding and raising of accruals, provision and repayments<\/li>\n<li>Reconciling and maintaining Income received in advance<\/li>\n<li>Compile, review and distribute monthly financial reports for all departments<\/li>\n<li>Prepare quarterly board reports timeously<\/li>\n<li>Co-ordinating annual audit, liaising with auditors and audit preparation.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with funders for monitoring visits and ensuring all aspects of the grant agreements have been adhered to.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>BCom\u00a0Accounting Degree<\/li>\n<li>Completed articles with a minimum of five years\u2019 financial management experience essential<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working in an NPO or desire to work in one.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced knowledge of Excel and bookkeeping programmes<\/li>\n<li>Sound understanding of VAT, PAYE and company statutory requirements<\/li>\n<li>Experience and understanding of financial and payroll processes and systems<\/li>\n<li>Strong financial\/costing\/accounting and analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Interpersonal skills, the ability to develop positive working relationships with individuals and teams\u2019 essential<\/li>\n<li>Proactive with good self-leadership<\/li>\n<li>Advanced problem-solving and decision-making abilities<\/li>\n<li>Resilient and open to working with various personalities<\/li>\n<li>Competent communicator who is approachable and trustworthy<\/li>\n<li>Mature and responsible attitude towards work with the ability to take ownership of projects and also get your hands dirty when necessary<\/li>\n<li>Ability to successfully multi-task and manage financial projects across the organsiation<\/li>\n<li>Adaptable to changes in budgets, new projects and donor requirements<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Time management and organisational skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested applicants should send their CVs to &#8211;\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:hr@adonismusatiproject.org\">hr@adonismusatiproject.org<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Tuesday, 30 June, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Adonis Musati Project (AMP) was named after a young Zimbabwean man who died of starvation on the streets of Cape Town while queuing to get his asylum papers.
