The AIDS Foundation of South Africa (AFSA) is a Durban-based NGO that acts as an interface between Donors and Community Based Organisations (CBO\u2019s) working in the HIV\/AIDS sector by placing donor funds with strategically selected CBOs, in South Africa, and providing them with ongoing, technical support & capacity building. AFSA has been selected to be appointed by the Global Fund as one of the Principal Recipients (PRs) that will manage programmes to be funded by the grant.<\/p>\n
The Organisation wishes to appoint a suitably qualified individual to serve as the FFI\/M&E manager. The purpose of these positions is to use FFI methodology to inform programme design and implementation at a district or provincial level. This position will be seconded in the KwaZulu-Natal Office of The Premier in Pietermaritzburg.<\/p>\n

\nPlay the secretariat role of the FFI PCA committee.
\nParticipate in the National advisory Committee for FFI at SANAC
\nIntegrate the FFI work into the OTP Nerve Center.
\nEnsure effective coordination of FFI activities with key stakeholders including National and Provincial government, Local Government, NGO\u2019s, CBO\u2019s, Research Institutions, and private sector.
\nIn collaboration with Managers at OTP support the establishment of the M&E teams at District level.
\nBuild Capacity\/ provide training of the District Teams on M&E and FFI
\nYearly identification of High Burden areas for use by departments to develop PIP, DIP, and MDIPS.
\nResponsible for all FFI aspects including technical and operational management to optimize performance and outcome.
\nRegister FFI user\u2019s for secured access to FFI web application system at District, provincial and national level.
\nProvide automated monthly, quarterly report to PCA and relevant stakeholders
\nEnsuring continued and effective co-operation and synergies between government department, and local municipalities in support of timely and seamless implementation of FFI methodology.
\nMonitor FFI activities for results and maintaining frequent contact with funders about program progress and actual or potential problems.
\nAttend trainings, meeting and progress review workshop as requested.
\nSupport coordination, monitoring and decision making in the HIV, TB & STI response.
\nCoordinate the reports of all the Global Fund PRs and PEPFAR funded work.<\/p>\n
\nMaster\u2019s degree in Health related subject or Postgraduate Degree in Monitoring and Evaluation advantageous
\nMore than 5 years\u2019 experience in M&E, Experience in working with Focus For Impact Methodology
\nExcellent analytical, oral and written communication skills
\nKnowledge of FFI guidelines, approach and methodology
\nKnowledge of DoH Data Management systems including DHIS, Tier.net & NHLS.
\nAbility to work independently and take calculated risks
\nSelf-starter mentality
\nApolitical-ability to separate personal views from work requirements
\nInnovative and strategic\/system thinking
\nStrong leadership skills.<\/p>\n
