Job Title: Benefits Processing Administrator\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong> Specification<\/strong> \u2022Perform quality assurance on claim forms and supporting documents received according to applicable workflow, rules and legislation to ensure claims are accurate and compliant.<\/p>\n \u2022Check accuracy of all claim documentation and member information and request additional information if required.<\/p>\n \u2022Verify applicability of member options to Fund Rule and Legislative requirements.<\/p>\n \u2022Capture the member details applicable to the exit event.<\/p>\n \u2022Compare member contribution history and emoluments for the exit period to ensure accuracy of benefit.<\/p>\n \u2022Check the manual calculated Final Average Emoluments are verified to those applied in the exit calculation in all areas.<\/p>\n \u2022Interview dependants for death claims before capturing verified dependants\u2019 information for the monthly pension.<\/p>\n \u2022Once all information is captured, check all member data and values are correctly updated in the member workflow, in order to calculate the member values as per the member\u2019s option.<\/p>\n \u2022Apply for a tax directive where required in accordance with standard procedure.<\/p>\n \u2022Update claim details on the pension system to ensure a one stop service at Call Centre and all other relevant stakeholders.<\/p>\n RESOLVE QUIRES RELATING TO CLAIMS AND CUSTOMER ENQUIRIES<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Assist business (Call Centre, Payroll, Social Workers & Legal) with enquiries received timeously, to keep stakeholders informed.<\/p>\n \u2022Respond appropriately to enquiries received from external stakeholders, regarding member claims, via e-mail and telephonically.<\/p>\n \u2022Obtain historical information related to member benefit claims, to determine the origination of member values and documents.<\/p>\n \u2022Draft letters to respond to standard enquiries, conveying an appropriate response which is grammatically correct.<\/p>\n \u2022Obtain approval from Supervisor where complex enquiries are received.<\/p>\n \u2022Provide the necessary information to assist SARS with the understanding of the nature of the Fund.<\/p>\n SUPPORT TO THE TEAM<\/strong><\/p>\n \u2022Assist Supervisor & Manager with on-going projects related to business developments & enhancements.<\/p>\n \u2022Perform system testing when required.<\/p>\n \u2022Visit SARS & maintain a relationship regarding the manual tax directives issued.<\/p>\n Requirements<\/strong> \u2022Senior Certificate preferably with Mathematics or Accounting as a passed subject.<\/p>\n \u2022Certificate of Proficiency (COP) will be advantageous.<\/p>\n \u20222-4 years job-related experience in Pension Benefits Administration, Processing of Retirement Funds or Employee Benefits.<\/p>\n \u2022Ability to converse in Sepedi, Zulu and Xhosa.<\/p>\n \u2022Knowledge of Pension Funds Act.<\/p>\n \u2022Knowledge of Pension Funds Rules.<\/p>\n \u2022Basic knowledge of tax legislation applicable to pension payouts.<\/p>\n \u2022Knowledge of Benefits Formulae.<\/p>\n \u2022Familiarity with Divorce Act & associated Pension Fund Legislation.<\/p>\n \u2022Excel Intermediate.<\/p>\n \u2022Microsoft Outlook.<\/p>\n \u2022Microsoft Word.<\/p>\n \u2022Numeracy.<\/p>\n \u2022Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<\/p>\n \u2022Attention to detail.<\/p>\n \u2022Teamwork & Collaboration.<\/p>\n \u2022Results-driven.<\/p>\n \u2022Analysing & problem solving.<\/p>\n \u2022Customer focus.<\/p>\n \u2022Effective Communication.<\/p>\n \u2022Planning & organising.<\/p>\n \u2022Time Management.<\/p>\n \u2022Coping Under Pressure (Stress Tolerance).<\/p>\n \u2022Learning Orientation.<\/p>\n \u2022Flexibility and Adaptability.<\/p>\n
