\nTo oversee the implementation of the SIIP by planning, monitoring, evaluating and reporting the progress against milestones on a regular basis.<\/p>\n
\nProgramme Planning, Management and Reporting
\n\u2022Facilitate the scoping of the new project(s) in collaboration with the DSI and other key stakeholders.
\n\u2022Draw up a Work Plan and issue formal documentation to external parties (collaborators, 3rd parties, implementation partners).
\n\u2022Create in collaboration and consultation with the relevant Portfolio Managers in the Technology Innovation agency to produce a detailed Annual Work Plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully execute the Strategic Industrial Bio-innovation Programme.
\n\u2022In collaboration and consultation with relevant stakeholders, coordinate implementation, determine the resources (time, funds, assets, etc) required to complete the project.
\n\u2022Facilitate review of progress made in the project(s) in consultation with relevant Portfolio Managers and all other staff that will be affected by the project activities; revise the schedule as required.
\n\u2022Management and reporting of finances in consultation with Portfolio Managers.
\n\u2022Coordinate and facilitate new project(s) or programme approvals in consultation with relevant Portfolio Managers.
\n\u2022Prepare and submit reports regularly as set in the approved Terms of Reference for the SIIP.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Execute the programme according to the SIIP Workplan.
\n\u2022Develop forms and records to document programme activities \u2013 be able to track the progress at any given point in time.
\n\u2022Set up files\/databases to ensure that all project information is appropriately. documented and secured.
\n\u2022Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments, process alignment as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project on time and on schedule and as aligned to the signed contract commitments of the SIIP.
\n\u2022Establish a communication schedule to update stakeholders including appropriate staff in the organization on the progress of the project.
\n\u2022Consolidate and Review the sub-programme reports on the work completed in consultation with the relevant Portfolio Managers at TIA and implementation partners on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the programme set goals and standards.
\n\u2022Provide updates to the \u2013project team on project and programme progress and work with stakeholders to resolve bottlenecks as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Write reports on the programme for management and for funders.
\n\u2022Communicate with funders as outlined in funding agreements.
\n\u2022Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to senior management on a regular basis (quarterly).
\n\u2022Report on all programme funds according to established accounting policies and procedures.
\n\u2022Ensure that all financial records for the project submitted are up to date.
\n\u2022Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for funders as outlined in funding agreements.<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Ensure that the SIIP programme deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
\n\u2022Evaluate the outcomes of the SIIP programme as established during the planning phase.
\n\u2022Arrange stakeholder meetings to meet with the variety of stakeholders to discuss highlights & challenges.
\n\u2022Make recommendations based on the outcomes of meetings with stakeholders.
\n\u2022Financial reconciliation to ensure that funding agreements are honoured.
\n\u2022Follow-up on outstanding transactions and activities in the funding agreements as well as the milestones to be achieved.
\n\u2022Identify and address programme challenges and highlights.
\n\u2022Follow-up on Key Performance Areas to be met within the programmes.<\/p>\n
\n\u20224-year Degree in Biotechnology\/Science\/ or Engineering.
\n\u2022Possession of a Project Management Certificate would be an added advantage
\n\u20225-7 years\u2019 experience in Project Management and\/or management of Programmes in financial and non-financial trends for technology development and investment support; enterprise development and stakeholder relationship management<\/p>\n
