Originally operated by the Catholic Pallottine Order this intermediate paediatric facility is run on Christian principles and ethics.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Fundraising Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong> Montana \u2013 Cape Town<\/p>\n<p><strong>SJH is currently governed by a Board and the day to day functioning by a management team.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The overall purpose of the home is to provide medical and rehabilitation care for children with life limiting and life-threatening illness.<\/p>\n<p>St Josephs is looking for an energetic and values driven\u00a0leader with a passion for service to vulnerable children and families, to head up our Fundraising\u00a0team and play a role in the senior management team.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job purpose:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To develop and drive the fund development and marketing strategy through the management\u00a0 of the fundraising\u00a0\u00a0team, which includes all aspects of fund development and fund raising, data capturing, in-kind donations, interns and volunteering, special events and PR and marketing campaigns.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key performance areas:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To maintain an integrated marketing and fund development strategy, to create general awareness, build different groupings of support and ultimately increase income.<\/li>\n<li>To portray at all times positive and professional image of SJH through proactive marketing and public relations activities<\/li>\n<li>To research latest trends in fund development\u00a0\u00a0as to inform the strategic business plan of SJH by means of a strategic fund development multi-year plan to ensure financial sustainability &#8211; operational, campaign, programmatic, project and capital.<\/li>\n<li>To develop and manage a fundraising\u00a0budget and compile monthly financial reports.<\/li>\n<li>To ensure that all aspects of the fundraising\u00a0portfolio\u2019s records and information are always efficiently maintained and readily accessible.<\/li>\n<li>To develop, nurture and maintain all funder and donor relationships including corporate, business, faith based and service\/community based organisations<\/li>\n<li>To develop and maintain face-to-face, stakeholder, media and service provider relationships<\/li>\n<li>To develop and maintain a funder data base as a research and a relationship management tool.<\/li>\n<li>To develop and manage the in-kind and Intern\/volunteer programmes as potential income generators.<\/li>\n<li>To manage, develop and mentor the fund raising\u00a0team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Attributes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>The successful candidate will demonstrate the following attributes:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relationship management<\/li>\n<li>An aptitude for marketing and public relations<\/li>\n<li>Self-reliance, and self motivation<\/li>\n<li>Conceptual thinking<\/li>\n<li>Team player<\/li>\n<li>Respecting the Christian Ethos<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multitask<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Professional Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Preference will be given to candidates with a proven track record of the following:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least five years\u2019 experience in a similar position within the NGO field<\/li>\n<li>Experience in the use of social media and digital marketing.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience of motivating a team<\/li>\n<li>Donor data base management<\/li>\n<li>Understanding and executing the full media package of print, website, electronic and face to face as a part of integrated fund development campaign<\/li>\n<li>A track record of successful proven project management<\/li>\n<li>A thorough understanding of the local and global funding environment and the cycle of giving<\/li>\n<li>Understanding the socio &#8211; health context in which SJH operates<\/li>\n<li>Strong appreciation of the role of IT in modern resource development<\/li>\n<li>Experience in marketing\u00a0to large numbers<\/li>\n<li>Experience in\u00a0consumer marketing and modern marketing methods eg Crowd funding<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The incumbent will be paid a market related (NGO) package according to experience and qualifications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please email a motivational letter and a detailed CV and to the HR manager on<strong>\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:hr@stjosephshome.org.za\">hr@stjosephshome.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Tuesday, 21 July, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>St Joseph\u2019s Home for Chronically Ill Children based in Montana \u2013 Cape Town in the Western Cape has been in existence for over 85 years.
