The organization uses these reports as an important source of information to fight corruption and hold leaders accountable for their actions.<\/p>\n<p>Corruption Watch exposes corruption through their communications platforms and mobilizes the public to take a stand against corruption and the abuse of public funds. Corruption Watch engages in impact litigation, and makes submissions to parliamentary processes and commissions.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Project (Procurement) Specialist<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: 12 Month Contract<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this role is to provide project management support to Corruption Watch\u2019s Legal &amp; Investigations team through the execution of various duties, including but not limited to: developing Corruption Watch\u2019s procurement monitoring capacity; data analytics; conducting analytical multi-disciplinary research; drafting op-eds and submissions; civil society, law enforcement and government engagement; investigative work, general administrative support, and assistance with project based deliverables.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key responsibilities for this exciting position include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Project formulation and management<\/li>\n<li>Factual research on specific cases and reports<\/li>\n<li>Strategic thinking<\/li>\n<li>Research and writing, including the drafting of opinion pieces<\/li>\n<li>Data analytics<\/li>\n<li>General administrative assistance to the Legal and Investigations team<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The candidate must possess and be able to demonstrate:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Project management experience<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of politics, fiscal systems and how government works<\/li>\n<li>Sound research and writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Stakeholder management skills<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrate interest in anti-corruption and human rights work<\/li>\n<li>Proactive attitude and enthusiasm for CW\u2019s mission and vision<\/li>\n<li>Good team player<\/li>\n<li>Accountable and responsible<\/li>\n<li>Self-starter<\/li>\n<li>Hard Working and Interpersonal Skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Email your CV and cover letter <strong>to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:admin@corruptionwatch.org.za\">admin@corruptionwatch.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Friday, 17 July, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Corruption Watch is a non-profit organization launched in January 2012, relying on the public to report corruption to them.
