A solid and well respected brand in the mining services area is looking to attract key talents to add to its existing pool of highly sought after professionals.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Boilermaker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Benoni, Gauteng, South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:<\/strong> # BOILERMAKER<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Contract 12 Months<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specification<\/strong><br \/>\nThis position exists to ensure the safe efficient installation, maintenance and repairs of all steel pipes, chutes, conveyors and other mining and construction beneficiation plant equipment and specialised steel manufacturing.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Health and Safety<\/li>\n<li>Ensure to wear correct PPE at all times<\/li>\n<li>Attend pre-shift meetings<\/li>\n<li>Report unsafe conditions and -behavior<\/li>\n<li>Adhere to FA and client policies and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Always behave safe<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance and Fabrication<\/li>\n<li>Implement maintenance schedules<\/li>\n<li>Maintains\\repairs all mechanical equipment<\/li>\n<li>Conduct plant inspection on all key mechanical equipment<\/li>\n<li>Identifies and prioritise equipment in need of maintenance\/repairs<\/li>\n<li>Plans down time for repairs\/maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Plans for material and men to assist<\/li>\n<li>Inform foreman<\/li>\n<li>Do risk assessment\/study procedures<\/li>\n<li>Do repairs\/maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Fabricate general steelwork<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>N3 &#8211; Mechanical engineering subjects<\/p>\n<p>Trade Test-Boilermaker- MQA\/MERSETA preferred<\/p>\n<p><strong>EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>5 years minimum post trade test experience as Boilermaker (Section 13 Artisan)<\/p>\n<p>2 year Learnership\/Apprentice in Mining or Construction<\/p>\n<p><strong>SKILLS, QUALITIES and ABILITIES REQUIRED<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Verbal communication<\/li>\n<li>Understand what constitutes unsafe conditions and \u2013behavior<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of unsafe behaviour-what does it mean?<\/li>\n<li>Basic understanding of planned maintenance documentation and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Basic planning skills<\/li>\n<li>Risk assessment skills<\/li>\n<li>Boilermaker skills<\/li>\n<li>Valid Drivers license<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>\u00a012\/08\/2020<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jb.skillsmapafrica.com\/Account\/Login?ReturnUrl=%2FCandidate%2FFullRegistration%3FJobKey%3D39fb1f60c2f54dcd876dfba1813bda32%26isApplication%3D1&amp;ReturnUrlWithProfile=%2FJob%2FIndex%2F41980%3FAutoApply%3DTrue\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>12\/08\/2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Founded in 1912, Fraser Alexander has grown from humble beginnings to become a key player in the South African mining industry and in selected global locations.
