{"id":56318,"date":"2020-08-06T20:39:58","date_gmt":"2020-08-06T18:39:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=56318"},"modified":"2020-08-06T20:39:58","modified_gmt":"2020-08-06T18:39:58","slug":"interactive-research-and-development-south-africa-ird-sa-npc-6","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/interactive-research-and-development-south-africa-ird-sa-npc-6.html","title":{"rendered":"Interactive Research and Development South Africa (IRD SA NPC)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Interactive Research and Development South Africa (IRD SA NPC)\u00a0is a South African Section 21 not-for-profit entity and an affiliate of Interactive Research and Development Global (IRD Global Limited), and has fully operational offices in Johannesburg, Pretoria (Gauteng) and in Durban (KwaZulu-Natal).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Data Quality Officer (DQO)<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type: <\/strong>Fixed term contract<br \/>\n<strong>Reports to: <\/strong>The M &amp; E Advisor: TB LON Project<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of the position<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To support IRD-SA TB LON project data capturers on data collection, verification, back capturing, mentorship and in-service training and implementation of new systems, processes and procedures to improve data quality dimensions (Accuracy, Reliability, Completeness, Precision\/Consistency, Timeliness, Integrity\/Validity, accessibility, Confidentiality) within a facility and sub-districts in Tshwane Metropolitan Municipality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Accountabilities (included but not limited to)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>In your role as Data Quality Officer you will be accountable for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Data quality reporting requirements (collection, reporting forms\/registers\/systems and tools)<\/li>\n<li>Capacity building (Indicator definition, SOPs, Data management processes)<\/li>\n<li>Data quality\/Integrity mechanisms and controls for continues improvement (QIP, verification and audit tools).<\/li>\n<li>Support roll out of TB LON data Tools.<\/li>\n<li>Lead a team of data capturers both roving and non-roving teams in selected district.<\/li>\n<li>Links with district\/national and other reporting systems such as Tier.Net and Datim.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Essential:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant post Matric, Data science, Computer Science, Business Administration or any equivalent qualification<\/li>\n<li>2 years Health Data Management experience (DHIS, Tier.Net and Datim).<\/li>\n<li>Driver\u2019s license and own motor vehicle.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Added advantage would be any of the following qualifications:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Desirable:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>M&amp;E and or Data Science\/ Management qualification or Administrative qualification linked with 2 years relevant health data management experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience &amp; skills:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>2 years\u2019 experience in data\/information management in a Health environment preferably USAID funded projects.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of DOH major policy directives and data flow programs.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the public health system \/ Health systems awareness.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.<\/li>\n<li>Data Management Skills within health setting.<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy (excel pivot tables).<\/li>\n<li>Numerical reasoning.<\/li>\n<li>Entry level analytics\/ monitoring and evaluation.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitation and mentoring\/capacity building.<\/li>\n<li>Programming and coding skills in SQL, Java or Python.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please provide two (2) current, relevant employment references.
