Join our dynamic business and become part of the South32 Group.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Superintendent Production undergroud<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> eMalahleni \/ Witbank, Mpumalanga, South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:<\/strong> # KHT-PROD-025<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n<p><strong>POSITION SYNOPSIS:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this role is to direct and control the activities of employees engaged in performing a variety of production operations aimed at achieving planned production targets as well as ensure the effective use of available resources in a safe and sustainable manner.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specification<\/strong><br \/>\n<em>CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oversees the production process and assists with drawing up of the production schedule;<\/li>\n<li>Monitor daily achievement of targets;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.75;\">Ensures all work is effectively planned, resourced and undertaken in a safe and cost-effective manner;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.75;\">Monitors the production process in line with set targets ensuring strict adherence to plan compliance;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.75;\">Monitors production standards and implements a quality control program, reviews report and statistics to plan and modify mining activities;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.75;\">Provides insight on the selection of mining equipment, reviews new production plans and discusses equipment needs and modifications;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.75;\">Implements and ensures that methods and procedures are in place for optimal asset utilization;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.75;\">Ensure adherence to policies, standards and procedures in all areas of operations;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.75;\">Investigates non-conformance to mining activities, identifies areas for improvement and implement solutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Serious contenders will have a Degree \/ National Diploma in Mining Engineering with a minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience in an underground section of which at least 2 years should have been in a supervisory capacity as Mine Overseer (MHSA Section 2.14.1 appointment);<\/li>\n<li>Subordinate manager (MHSA Section 2.6.1 appointment) experience on an underground mine is advantageous;<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.75;\">Sound knowledge and understanding of legislation is essential;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.75;\">Computer literacy is essential;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.75;\">Mine Manager\u2019s Certificate of Competency is essential;<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"line-height: 1.75;\">Mine Overseer Certificate is advantageous.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/jb.skillsmapafrica.com\/Account\/Login?ReturnUrl=%2FCandidate%2FFullRegistration%3FJobKey%3D1825056a5a7243b58717c09242c363a1%26isApplication%3D1&amp;ReturnUrlWithProfile=%2FJob%2FIndex%2F42010%3FAutoApply%3DTrue\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:<\/strong>\u00a021\/08\/2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>South32 is a distinctive business with a leading presence in the global market.
