PURPOSE OF THIS ROLE<\/strong>
\nThe Senior Doctor Advisor is responsible for providing clinical advice and strategic direction to the Technical Division, specifically the health programmes division. The position will be responsible for providing strategic input relating to one or more programme area in the field of HIV and Tuberculosis. The incumbent will provide general technical oversight, training, mentorship for other cadres working in the programmes.<\/p>\n

TECHNICAL WORK RESPONSIBILITIES<\/strong>
\nResponsibilities will include and not be limited to the following
\n\u2022Provide clinical guidance and strategic direction to Aurum\u2019s programmes in HIV and TB clinical care
\n\u2022Develop training resource material for health care providers within the field of HIV and TB management as required
\n\u2022Manage implementation and adaption of training strategies for health care providers
\n\u2022Mentor and supervise mentoring activities of subordinates, clinicians and other stakeholders
\n\u2022Perform clinical audits where required
\n\u2022Contribute to development of operational plans and assist in writing timely and accurate reports on the activities undertaken by the division
\n\u2022Form and maintain positive relations with internal and external customers, public sector services and other stakeholders
\n\u2022Analyse data pertinent to programme area and develop strategies for programme improvement in that area
\n\u2022Identify gaps in programme areas and skills or capacity and develop strategies to address these
\n\u2022Engage in programme review on a quarterly basis and provide feedback to internal and external stakeholders
\n\u2022Document and disseminate best practice examples through stakeholder forums or peer reviewed journals and publications, collaborating
\nwith research division if necessary.
\n\u2022Maintain close relations with the district and sub-district public sector services and contribute to their operational plans where relevant
