Our services cover a broad spectrum of needs including Insurance Broking, Risk Management, Corporate Risk Advisors, Employee Benefit Administrators and Consultants, and Health and Wealth management.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Recoveries and Liabilities Assistant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Reference<\/strong> # 2020-285<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n<p><strong>ROLE PURPOSE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>To provide administrative support during the recoveries (specifically uninsured recoveries) and liabilities claims process, and support of the business strategy for excellent service and growth.<br \/>\nRequirements<br \/>\nOUTCOMES<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Provide administrative assistance to the recoveries division wrt the following processes (but not limited to):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Recoveries and liabilities claims administration and support<\/li>\n<li>Receive instruction to commence with recovery process and review the claims history to ensure all relevant information has been received<\/li>\n<li>Trace parties and make contact to provide information regarding the recovery process and obtain information<\/li>\n<li>Compile and dispatch the relevant documents (letter of demand, pre litigation notice, request for settlement etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure accurate records are kept on recoveries progress and saved on the system<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and send invoices for services rendered<\/li>\n<li>Keep track of payments received and allocate payment<\/li>\n<li>Keep the client and internal servicing team up to date regarding the progress of the recovery<\/li>\n<li>Provide information and administrative support to internal and external legal team to support further legal processes<\/li>\n<li>Keep diary of weekly follow-ups with third parties and third party insurers<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the matter is settled or escalate within the required legal framework<\/li>\n<li>Provide legal administrative support from the start to end of the liabilities claims process<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u2022Ensure productivity targets are met<br \/>\n\u2022Contribute towards and ensure continuous improvement in own and team performance<br \/>\n\u2022Adhere to company mandates<br \/>\n\u2022Participate and contribute in ad hoc projects<br \/>\n\u2022Report any suspected fraud, misrepresentation and\/or dishonesty<br \/>\n\u2022Keep accurate record of own activities<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS &amp; SKILLS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022Matric or equivalent<br \/>\n\u2022LLB Degree or Paralegal Diploma<br \/>\n\u2022Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)<br \/>\n\u2022Computer literacy is essential<br \/>\n\u2022Strong administrative skills and attention to detail and accuracy<\/p>\n<p><strong>MINIMUM EXPERIENCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Practical experience in recoveries and liabilities administration within an insurance environment will be advantageous.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Any problems with registering\/uploading your CV, please contact the HR Administrator at <strong>debbie@rbs.co.za<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong> 28\/08\/2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>RBS is one of the largest fully fledged financial services advisory firms in southern Africa.
