FUNDISA\u2019s membership comprises university nursing departments and associate institutions which promote nursing and midwifery education, practice and research.<\/p>\n<p>Through strategic partnerships FUNDISA provides ongoing support and opportunities to advance the interests and needs of nursing scholarship.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Finance Officer<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Pretoria<\/p>\n<p>As the Finance Officer the incumbent will be responsible for managing all the financial activities of FUNDISA, including: financial operations of the organization and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices including cash management, payroll, financial disbursements, ledgers etc.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Main responsibilities for the\u00a0Finance Officer\u00a0are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Responsible for entering financial information and maintaining all financial records for projects and for the organization<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in preparing and maintaining donor agreements and staff contracts<\/li>\n<li>Managing financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to the organization on budget expenditures<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring the expenditures to ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately by the close of the fiscal year<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that all financial reporting is completed on time and submitted to donors<\/li>\n<li>Overseeing the financial audits of all projects of the organization<\/li>\n<li>Providing financial inputs for proposal development, project management, Human Resource Management policies, logistics, travel and other areas of administration<\/li>\n<li>Maintenance of fixed asset register<\/li>\n<li>Supporting programme staff in budget development and management according to funder deadlines<\/li>\n<li>Managing procurement processes within the organisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The\u00a0Finance Officer\u00a0must meet the following criteria:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Degree or higher diploma in Bookkeeping, Accounting or related field<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 2 years\u2019 experience as Finance Officer<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with donor funds and budgets, preferably in the NGO\/ NPO sector will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Must be proficient with Sage Pastel<\/li>\n<li>High level of competence in Excel and other software packages<\/li>\n<li>A good understanding of project finance management and the budgeting process<\/li>\n<li>Good communication skills, written and verbal<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of the grant \u2013 making process<\/li>\n<li>Prompt and efficient reaction to project adjustments and alterations<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of statutory prescripts in terms of financial management and reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>View the full job description and application instructions on the Vacancies page at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.actionappointments.co.za\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.actionappointments.co.za<\/a> and email your application by<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:melissa@actionappointments.co.za\"><strong>melissa@actionappointments.co.za<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Wednesday 02<sup>nd<\/sup>\u00a0September 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Forum of University Nursing Deans of South Africa (FUNDISA) is a registered Not-for-Profit Organization that established to be a unified platform whose main aim is to promote nursing scholarship and&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[57],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
