Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BDO South Africa has a vacancy for a Tenders Manager to join our Business Development Department.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Tenders Manager<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:<\/strong> # ZBD_01<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Permanent<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specification<\/strong><br \/>\nThe main responsibility for the Tenders Manager is the development, performance and maintenance of the tender process activities of the organisation to obtain maximum efficiency, quality, service and profitability for the organisation.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Develops the bid and tender strategy<br \/>\n\u2022Assemble and maintain internal Procurement documentation relating to the tendering process, including recording management approval relating to tendering and contracting actions.<br \/>\n\u2022Establish market-leading bid\/tender\/proposal strategies\/tools\/methodologies that gain buy-in from the business<br \/>\n\u2022Lead the bid team to deliver consistently high-quality bids<br \/>\n\u2022Work with stakeholders to convert bid strategies into compliant, winning bids for learning and development solutions<br \/>\n\u2022Effectively manage the performance and development of all direct reports<br \/>\n\u2022Establish effective reporting and analyse performance metrics for the function<br \/>\n\u2022Develop innovative ways to convey the propositions to the clients<br \/>\n\u2022Research, Monitor and report on market\/competitor activity<br \/>\n\u2022Develop and maintain company-wide awareness and knowledge<br \/>\n\u2022Scope opportunities to understand the client needs and ensure our proposition is relevant and persuasive<br \/>\n\u2022Provide guidance on messaging that meets the needs of the RFP, is compelling and supports the BDO brand<br \/>\n\u2022Provide editorial guidance and eagle-eye proofreading of pitch documents<br \/>\n\u2022Coach and challenge bid team throughout presentation rehearsals on messaging, style and approach<br \/>\n\u2022Conduct debriefs and organise independent debriefs, collate and analyse the feedback to identify strengths and areas for improvement<br \/>\n\u2022Participate in professional development activities and external peer networks to stay up to date with trends and to be aware of new ways of doing things<br \/>\n\u2022Share best practice\/provide training to client-facing teams<br \/>\n\u2022Monitor and report on pitch success<br \/>\n\u2022Develop an effective operating rhythm with the Design &amp; Print team to optimise available resources and avoid bottlenecks<br \/>\n\u2022Provide oversight to pre-tender desk research and analyse information to provide useful insight for teams at the first stage of the process<br \/>\n\u2022Lead on the production of high-quality pitch documents and presentations, liaising with all parts of the business.<br \/>\n\u2022Collate proposal information<br \/>\n\u2022Preparing analysis reports for review by BD director<br \/>\n\u2022KAM management reports for implementation<br \/>\n\u2022Reports on the Vision 23 progress and campaigns<br \/>\n\u2022Preparing pipeline reports.<br \/>\n\u2022Updating the log of proposals won, lost and open.<br \/>\n\u2022Monthly clean-up of CRM logs<br \/>\n\u2022Follow up on long outstanding proposals<br \/>\n\u2022Keep a log of all lost proposals including the reasons for the losses.<br \/>\n\u2022Upkeep of latest Proposal best practice<br \/>\n\u2022Upkeep of the BD hub.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualifications:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Degree or Diploma at a South African accredited Institution<\/p>\n<p><strong>Experience:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022 Working with the CRM system<br \/>\n\u2022 Collating tenders and understanding of SBD documents<br \/>\n\u2022 Analysing and interpretation Budgets for proposal purposes<\/p>\n<p><strong>Competencies:<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Verbal\/written communication and negotiation skills<br \/>\n\u2022Willingness to learn<br \/>\n\u2022Knowledge of the Financial Services Industry.<br \/>\n\u2022Emotional intelligence<br \/>\n\u2022Commitment to continuous development<br \/>\n\u2022Socially aware and able to work as part of a diverse team<br \/>\n\u2022Client focus<br \/>\n\u2022Ability to plan, organise and control<\/p>\n<p>The appointment will be made in terms of the firm\u2019s Employment Equity Policy.<br \/>\nOnly short-listed candidates will be contacted.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jb.skillsmapafrica.com\/Account\/Login?ReturnUrl=%2FCandidate%2FFullRegistration%3FJobKey%3Dfc811afa51784ed085e086e37a0ca0ca%26isApplication%3D1&amp;ReturnUrlWithProfile=%2FJob%2FIndex%2F42400%3FAutoApply%3DTrue\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>04\/09\/2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>BDO South Africa has a vacancy for a Tenders Manager to join our Business Development Department. &nbsp;
