Specification<\/strong>
\n\u2022Ability to administer seamlessly a 1000 user IT environment, Microsoft 365, Windows 10 with Checkpoint firewall and VPN.
\n\u2022Manage desktop support staff
\n\u2022Identify IT needs in terms of critical technology requirements within the organisation
\n\u2022Facilitate failure analyses investigations
\n\u2022Compile and maintain database of relevant service providers
\n\u2022Collect feedback from line managers and supervisors regarding the impact of technology at the workplace
\n\u2022Ensure currency of hardware and software and ensure timeous and cost-effective updates in line with business needs
\n\u2022Manage IT documentation and records
\n\u2022Complete monthly reporting of IT activities, unresolved issues, threats and planned activities
\n\u2022Management information updated on the system and audited for currency.
\n\u2022Ensure the efficacy of systems such as T&A, access control systems, machinery operations etc. as required
\n\u2022Facilitate an effective user support system through the management of a Helpdesk function
\n\u2022Manage IT projects as appropriate
\n\u2022Ensure the development of new programmes as required to meet developing business needs
\n\u2022Maintain discipline
\n\u2022Action and correct deviant behaviour timeously where necessary\/possible
\n\u2022Support performance management
\n\u2022Ensure all positions have current job descriptions
\n\u2022Complete accurate performance assessments timeously
\n\u2022Hold career development discussions at least annually
\n\u2022Provide day-to-day support to training staff
\n\u2022Complete goal setting and performance contracts timeously
\n\u2022Investigate and action poor performance (e.g. damage, quality issues, etc.)
\n\u2022Develop required training skills
\n\u2022Identify skills development and training needs
\n\u2022Identify and utilise coaching opportunities
\n\u2022Identify and utilise training opportunities<\/p>\n
