LvA also facilitates awareness-raising initiatives such as school and community workshops.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Social Auxiliary Worker<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Diepsloot, Johannesburg.<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:<\/strong> Contract position<br \/>\n<strong>Start Date:<\/strong> as soon as possible until March 2021, after which renewal is based on funding availability and performance.<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Negotiable, based on experience and qualifications.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conduct intakes at LvA Diepsloot Centre<\/li>\n<li>Assessment of psychosocial needs of GBV victims<\/li>\n<li>Facilitate referrals and follow-ups on other services needed<\/li>\n<li>Work with stakeholders to ensure quality and holistic service for GBV victims<\/li>\n<li>Provide support and assistance to psychosocial team<\/li>\n<li>Assist with psychoeducational workshops for caregivers and other family members of GBV victims<\/li>\n<li>Outreach activities and community engagement<\/li>\n<li>Conduct administrative tasks related to the programme<\/li>\n<li>Write monthly reports and other documentation for the programme.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Qualified Social Auxiliary Worker<\/li>\n<li>Current registration with SACSSP<\/li>\n<li>Minimum two years\u2019 experience as a Social Auxiliary Worker<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of individual, group and community work<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with GBV victims preferred and\/or strong understanding of impact of GBV on individuals, families and communities<\/li>\n<li>Experience working within a community-based setting preferred<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in isiZulu, Sepedi and\/or Tshivenda<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, both individually and in a team<\/li>\n<li>Computer proficiency, especially with Microsoft Office suite<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To Apply:<\/strong> Interested applicants must submit a CV and motivation letter to <strong><a href=\"mailto:jobs@lva.org.za\">jobs@lva.org.za<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
