{"id":57236,"date":"2020-09-09T16:43:43","date_gmt":"2020-09-09T14:43:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=57236"},"modified":"2020-09-09T16:43:43","modified_gmt":"2020-09-09T14:43:43","slug":"think-recent-available-job-vacancy-apply-now","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/think-recent-available-job-vacancy-apply-now.html","title":{"rendered":"THINK\u00a0Recent Available Job Vacancy &#8211; Apply Now!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>THINK\u00a0is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of those affected by TB and HIV\/AIDS. \u00a0As a health delivery and research organisation, THINK engages with the local community, government consortia, and international funders to provide care for over 100,000 people in KwaZulu-Natal Province and carries out cutting-edge clinical research that has already contributed to changing TB Treatment Guidelines internationally and locally.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Research Doctor<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Clinical Trial Unit at Doris Goodwin TB Hospital, Edendale, PMB<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0Employment Type:<\/strong>12 months<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0Start Date:<\/strong> 1 October 2020<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities include :<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Team mentoring, support and management<\/li>\n<li>Screening of potential study participants with regards to their eligibility for the trial and obtaining informed consent.<\/li>\n<li>Clinical management of study participants with drug resistant Tuberculosis (MDR &amp; XDR) as well as adverse events that could arise while on treatment.<\/li>\n<li>Performing administrative duties such as resolving data queries, completing SAE reports, developing source documentation and site operating procedures, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Assist with the training and mentoring of other researchers and nursing staff.<\/li>\n<li>Stakeholder engagement and co management with the DoH facilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>MBCHB<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge in the management of TB<\/li>\n<li>Valid motor vehicle license<\/li>\n<li>Post community service general experience for at least 2 years<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Clinical trial or research experience<\/li>\n<li>Current GCP certificate<\/li>\n<li>Drug Resistant TB Management<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates.
