NACOSA is looking for a suitably qualified candidate within South Africa to manage the implementation of the OVC and DREAMS programme under the USAID award entitled; Community-based Violence Prevention and Linkages to Response in SA Programme in Mpumalanga.<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will have management and oversight responsibility for the OVC and GBV programme; focusing on the delivery of OVC programmes and GBV prevention programmes and care and support programmes. The programme will be implemented in all 3 districts in Mpumalanga.<\/p>\n

\n\u2022Develop, coordinate and manage the delivery of provincial programme workplans and ensure that grant implementation is in alignment with the approved workplan, budget and targets.
\n\u2022Provide in-depth programmatic guidance and leadership to implementing partners to ensure programme quality.
\n\u2022Monitor and analyze the programme performance of implementing partners and provide course correction where needed.
\n\u2022Identify capacity needs and facilitate the provision of capacity building to implementing partners to strengthen programme quality and performance.
\n\u2022Provide mentoring and coaching support to staff from implementing organisations on technical programme areas as required
\n\u2022Produce periodic reports on programme objectives, implementation plans and performance.
\n\u2022Network with, and build strategic alliances and relationships with key provincial and district stakeholders in the gender and sexual violence field and act as a thought leader.
\n\u2022Represent NACOSA at high level technical meetings and forums at provincial and district level<\/p>\n
\n\u2022Bachelor degree or equivalent in Social Science\/Public Health or related discipline. A Master\u2019s degree will be an added advantage.
\n\u2022Minimum of 5 years specific HIV prevention related work experience in the health and social development sectors, and preferably in the field of OVC, AGYW and\/or survivors of sexual violence
\n\u2022Experience in programme planning, implementation, management and M&E, including management of outsourced partners.
\n\u2022Knowledge about: HIV prevention, sexual and reproductive health; HIV Testing Services; GBV programming; evidence-informed and rights-based programming for survivors of GBV, particularly for adolescent girls and young women; functioning of Thuthuzela Care Centres; the relevant national and provincial policies and guidelines pertaining to GBV and HIV services.
\n\u2022Excellent communications skills in English, including the ability to guide implementers and service providers on the programme.
\n\u2022Must be analytically minded and have excellent writing skills, including the ability to compile insightful and user-friendly reports.
\n\u2022Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with experience of web-based data systems and ability to create graphs, flow diagrams and GANTT charts.
\n\u2022Must be highly organised, deadline driven and efficient with planning skills and a proactive and positive approach.
\n\u2022Ability to work well in a team environment, and to coordinate multiple inputs to tight deadlines, with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.
\n\u2022Understanding of the NGO sector and knowledge of big donor processes\/requirements will be a benefit.
\n\u2022Must be a human rights advocate with excellent advocacy skills and experience.
\n\u2022Driver\u2019s license.
