Its aim is to empower communities to develop new generations of productive citizens.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Senior Creditors Clerk<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Head Office,Hyde Park\u00a0Johannesburg.<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting to:\u00a0<\/strong>Assistant Financial Manager<\/p>\n<p><strong>Purpose of the Job<\/strong><br \/>\nThe senior creditors\u2019 clerk will be responsible for carrying out accounting and administrative duties such as the processing and payment of suppliers\u2019 invoices, reconciliation of statements, following up on unpaid suppliers, obtaining statements and invoices.<br \/>\nResponsibilities:<br \/>\nCreditors Payments, invoicing and recording of financial transactions:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Capturing and processing all invoices<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that all invoices and supporting documentation is complete and approved<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that all payments that are paid comply with the set standards and contain all the necessary required information<\/li>\n<li>Manage key supplier accounts weekly<\/li>\n<li>Timeous submission of payments to treasury bi-weekly<\/li>\n<li>Maintain and reconcile supplier accounts<\/li>\n<li>Preparation and submission of 30 day supplier payments by 25<sup>th<\/sup> of each month<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that claims are paid timeously and correctly<\/li>\n<li>Ensure correct allocations to the supplier account and maintain a supplier age analysis with balances not exceeding 30 days<\/li>\n<li>Process Prepayments journals and prepare schedule monthly<\/li>\n<li>Process Accruals journals and prepare schedule monthly<\/li>\n<li>Review monthly Fixed Costs per centre for completeness<\/li>\n<li>Liaise with centre\/office administrators on the correct processing of costs on the spend management system<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a proper and logical filing system (Soft copy as well as hard copy)<\/li>\n<li>Assist the Cost Accountant with month end reviews and reports<\/li>\n<li>Maintain master supplier list on Pastel and Fraxion (Spend Management system)<\/li>\n<li>Ad hoc reporting<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Management:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise the junior creditors\u2019 clerk and processes within the creditors\u2019 department<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>General:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Comply with all directives from time to time\u00a0given to you by the company, and all rules and regulations<\/li>\n<li>Any other ad hoc functions to be requested<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Matric (Grade 12)<\/li>\n<li>3 year Diploma Qualification<\/li>\n<li>CIMA or other professional qualification (an added advantage)<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 2 years\u2019 experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Skills Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills.<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English languages<\/li>\n<li>Management skills<\/li>\n<li>Planning and organizing skills<\/li>\n<li>Building Relationships<\/li>\n<li>Managing a process<\/li>\n<li>Report compiling<\/li>\n<li>Advance Excel<\/li>\n<li>Financial system : Pastel<\/li>\n<li>Logical and Structured<\/li>\n<li>Accurate<\/li>\n<li>Strong Analytical skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to train and communicate on all levels within the organisation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>TO APPLY?<\/strong><br \/>\nInterested candidates who meet the above criteria are requested to email their CV to Esther Thage at<strong> <a href=\"mailto:estert@afrikatikkun.org\">estert@afrikatikkun.org<\/a><\/strong> or alternatively fax application details to 086\u00a0668 0542.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Friday, 25 September, 2020<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Afrika Tikkun is an international nonprofit organisation\u00a0that provides education, health and social services to children, youth and their families through centres of excellence in South African Townships.
