One of its programmes, the Rainbow PSR Groups, offers community-based psychosocial rehabilitation and support to adults with psychiatric \/psychosocial disabilities in the form of 26 weekly support groups.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Senior Fundraising Practitioner<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Cape Town<br \/>\n<strong>Eployment Type:<\/strong> 12-month contract for a 40-hour week.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this position is to find someone\u00a0from highly motivated and dynamic fundraisers with an excellent track record in donor research and mobilisation to join our Donor Development team in a senior-level . Preference will be given to South African citizens.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Relevant tertiary qualification<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of 5 years\u2019 successful fundraising experience and some management or project coordination experience<\/li>\n<li>Proven ability to source, nurture and manage fundraising opportunities<\/li>\n<li>(examples of prior fundraising proposals\/appeals will be requested)<\/li>\n<li>Experience as a SETA liaison officer in the submission of Discretionary Grant applications<\/li>\n<li>Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to multi-task and work closely with several community-based projects<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint<\/li>\n<li>Experience in online fundraising<\/li>\n<li>In possession of a valid manual driver\u2019s license (own transport a recommendation)<\/li>\n<li>Able to work overtime occasionally in support of fundraising deadlines and special events<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>respect diversity and understand the challenges facing NGOs<\/li>\n<li>can research and identify prospective funders<\/li>\n<li>can take full responsibility for donor liaison and contractual requirements<\/li>\n<li>can anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, and meet deadlines<\/li>\n<li>can interpret and compile budgets and financial reports<\/li>\n<li>can function as a member of a team, yet operate independently and responsibly<\/li>\n<li>pay attention to detail, are target-driven, and have good time-management skills<\/li>\n<li>display a high level of accountability to all stakeholders<\/li>\n<li>are professional in manner, appearance and work ethic<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please submit a letter of motivation and an updated CV with three contactable referees,\u00a0marked confidential, to\u00a0 Email:\u00a0<strong> <a href=\"mailto:sandra@cmh.org.za\">sandra@cmh.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Monday, 28 September, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cape Mental Health is a non-profit organisation that offers comprehensive and proactive mental health services in the Western Cape.
