To provide business decision support to Management, provide operational advice to financial Heads of Departments and enhance investment administration processes.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Investment Accountant<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:<\/strong> Bryanston, Gauteng, South Africa<br \/>\n<strong>Reference:<\/strong> # #IA001<br \/>\n<strong>Contract Type:<\/strong> Permanent<br \/>\n<strong>Salary:<\/strong> Market Related<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Specification<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.Cash Flow Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022Manage cash flow to ensure the current account does not go into overdraft and that all cash movements are accounted for.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Optimise available cash.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Manage accurate processing of custodian current accounts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2.Financial Operations Management<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022Improve internal workflow processing.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Manage completion of accurate month-end journals and reconciliations by due dates.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Minimise audit queries.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Prepare Year End Audit Files.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Communicate effectively with third parties.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Participate in Projects and tender evaluation committees.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Participate in the operational due diligence process.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.Financial Reporting<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022Produce accurate financial reports for timeous submission to the various internal departments and external stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Assist in the preparation of Annual Financial Statements.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Prepare Investment Schedules for submission to the FSB.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Prepare management accounts on a monthly basis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.Investment Administration Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2022Attend relevant training courses to continuously improve technical skills.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Assist colleagues to reduce logging of calls by providing expertise in investment accounting and administration.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Make recommendations on increasing the efficiencies of investment administration processes.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Assist with utilisation of OMNI financials.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Attending to audit requests and provision of financial information during the audit.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Perform other administrative tasks i.e. filing and Fraxion requests.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\n\u2022Degree in Accounting or any other relevant experience.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022At least 5 years in Investment Accounting and International Investment Accounting.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Sound knowledge Financial Management as a discipline.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Knowledge of financial procedures and practices.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Knowledge of financial reporting.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Advanced Excel.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Investment System knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Attention to detail.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Teamwork &amp; collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Results-driven.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Analysing &amp; problem solving.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Manages complexity and ambiguity.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Customer focus.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Judgement &amp; decision making.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Effective communication.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Planning &amp; organizing.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Time management.<\/p>\n<p>\u2022Coping under pressure (Stress Tolerance).<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jb.skillsmapafrica.com\/Account\/Login?ReturnUrl=%2FCandidate%2FFullRegistration%3FJobKey%3Df7f9eb1b1ed24400ac1eab5d2af5d541%26isApplication%3D1&amp;ReturnUrlWithProfile=%2FJob%2FIndex%2F43188%3FAutoApply%3DTrue\"><strong>Click Here!<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>30\/09\/2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Maintaining the Fund\u2019s financial records and preparing accurate financial statements for Investment Accounting.
