In this role, the NHLS has been fundamental in identifying, validating and implementing diagnostic platforms for SARS-CoV2 including serological testing. In their role, they have undertaken to provide serological survey data to the Department of Health nationally and provincially to inform their planning and decision making. This position is to manage both provincial and national seroprevalence surveys conducted through the NHLS laboratory testing system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Qualification &amp; Experience:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Medical Scientist \u2013 MSc (NQF L9) in Laboratory Sciences &amp; Registration in Molecular Biology, Virology or Medical Microbiology or an MPH with a diploma in Project Management or an MBBCH\/MBCHB with a qualification in public health and a diploma in Project Management<\/li>\n<li>Good Clinical Laboratory Practice training<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years\u2019 experience in clinical trial management (including project budget)<\/li>\n<li>Scientific writing experience<\/li>\n<li>Diagnostic laboratory experience (desirable)<\/li>\n<li>Good leadership, organisational &amp; time management skills<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Roles &amp; Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Obtain ethical clearance or waivers for non-diagnostic work<\/li>\n<li>Assist in developing site specific protocols (SOP\u2019s, policies, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Interact with partners to initiate and conduct serological surveys<\/li>\n<li>Ensure appropriate bi-directional data transfer<\/li>\n<li>Manage budget &amp; study specific procurement<\/li>\n<li>Drafting and if necessary, presentation of reports<\/li>\n<li>Management of human resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please forward your request to <strong><a href=\"mailto:recruitment@nexia-sabt.co.za\">recruitment@nexia-sabt.co.za<\/a><\/strong> for the detailed job specification.
