{"id":58430,"date":"2020-10-23T16:50:25","date_gmt":"2020-10-23T14:50:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=58430"},"modified":"2020-10-23T16:50:25","modified_gmt":"2020-10-23T14:50:25","slug":"the-south-african-breastmilk-recent-available-job-opportunity","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/the-south-african-breastmilk-recent-available-job-opportunity.html","title":{"rendered":"The South African Breastmilk Recent Available Job Opportunity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The South African Breastmilk Reserve is a non-profit organisation that started in 2003 and today is the largest milkbank banking partner of the South Africa Department of Health that supplies donated breastmilk to private and public hospitals around the country and conducts research on breastmilk.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Healthcare Sector Despatch and Relationship Coordinator\/Manager <\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>SABR Head Office,Braamfontein.<\/p>\n<p>This position is primarily stationed at the SABR Head Office. It includes some travel to SABR milkbanks in hospitals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Managing the daily despatch of donated breastmilk to hospitals<\/li>\n<li>Preparing samples for microbiological testing<\/li>\n<li>Tracking and recording client information, managing relationships and increasing donated breastmilk orders<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with the Milkbank staff in the hospitals to collect accurate monthly statistics and maintain breastmilk levels<\/li>\n<li>Promoting and developing human milkbanks to hospitals and other distribution avenues<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining stock levels of consumables at Head Office and in the milkbanks<\/li>\n<li>Travel to the milkbanks in the various hospitals as assigned form time to time<\/li>\n<li>Supervising the Head Office staff as allocated from time-to-time<\/li>\n<li>Office administration and record-keeping<\/li>\n<li>Implementing and following up on the monitoring and evaluation system and components<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring that quality assurance, health and safety standards and hygiene standards are maintained at all times including universal regular hand washing procedures<\/li>\n<li>Being the SABR ambassador with doctors and dieticians so that they supportand encourage breast milk donations, and<\/li>\n<li>Advocacy work to promote human milk banking<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Preferably has completed a laboratory assistant, biotechnology or related qualification<\/li>\n<li>Preferably registered with the Health Professional Council of South Africa HPCSA<\/li>\n<li>A valid driver\u2019s licence and own a car<\/li>\n<li>At least have three to five year\u2019s related working experience<\/li>\n<li>Be computer and smartphone literate and confident with the Microsoft Office package<\/li>\n<li>Clear telephone communicator, well-spoken and able to build relationships<\/li>\n<li>Strong administration skills<\/li>\n<li>Understanding record keeping and librarianship<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices<\/li>\n<li>Ability to maintain effective reporting procedures and control workflow<\/li>\n<li>Be self-motivated and able to work on one\u2019s own; and<\/li>\n<li>Ideally a mother who has breastfed her own children<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u00a0To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please send your CV to\u00a0<strong><a href=\"mailto:karin@ibox.co.za\">karin@sabr.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline:\u00a0<\/strong>Saturday, 31 October, 2020<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The South African Breastmilk Reserve is a non-profit organisation that started in 2003 and today is the largest milkbank banking partner of the South Africa Department of Health that supplies&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[89],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
