Our programs focus is on HIV, TB, Non-Communicable diseases and Capacity development for community-based organization and government departments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>We are seeking suitably qualified candidates for the following\u00a0position:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>(2) x Social Workers (Ekurhuleni &amp; Johannesburg Districts) Employment type:contract<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Duration: 9 Months<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Overview:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The incumbent will be responsible for rendering Mental health and psychosocial support services to patients and workers on\u00a0management and prevention of\u00a0TB and COVID-19.\u00a0 He\/she will be part of the multisectoral case management team at supported facilities\/sites.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key Performance Areas Include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensuring that patients with COVID-19 receive the necessary support<\/li>\n<li>Conducting psychosocial Assessments of patients, clinical and non-clinical health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic<\/li>\n<li>Providing psycho-social support, including supportive debriefing and counselling to patients and workers (clinical and non-clinical<\/li>\n<li>Trauma debriefing (including bereavement counselling)<\/li>\n<li>Facilitating Trainings on COVID-19, TB and psychosocial support<\/li>\n<li>Assisting in educating patients and their families on COVID-19 and TB prevention and management as well as on infection prevention measures.<\/li>\n<li>Linking patients to external service providers when necessary (e.g. quarantine sites, Department of Social Development)<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with community networks and partners<\/li>\n<li>Compilation of reports<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Minimum Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A 4-year Bachelor\u2019s degree in Social Work<\/li>\n<li>Proof of registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professionals (SACSSP).<\/li>\n<li>A minimum of 3 years\u2019 experience in the public health sector\/clinical social work service delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working in the TB\/HIV sector will be an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>Experience in working directly with persons who have chronic health conditions.<\/li>\n<li>Proven experience in all primary social work methods.<\/li>\n<li>Experience of working in high-risk communities<\/li>\n<li>Fluency in English and at least one local languages.<\/li>\n<li>Preparedness to work after hours and weekends occasionally.<\/li>\n<li>Good interpersonal skills.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent report writing skills<\/li>\n<li>Computer literacy.<\/li>\n<li>A Driver\u2019s License is a necessity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Suitable candidates to send applications at: <strong><a href=\"mailto:applications@isibani.org.za\">applications@isibani.org.za<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Please Note:<\/strong> All applicants must indicate the position they are applying for in the subject line.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application Deadline: <\/strong>Wednesday, 28 October, 2020<\/p>\n<p><em>Kindly note only shortlisted candidates will be notified<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Isibani Development Partners is a South African-registered NGO, launched in 2011 to become a leading local technical assistance provider, systems strengthening and grants manager for health and social service in&#8230;..<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1353,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"om_disable_all_campaigns":false,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"footnotes":"","jetpack_publicize_message":"","jetpack_is_tweetstorm":false,"jetpack_publicize_feature_enabled":true,"jetpack_social_post_already_shared":true,"jetpack_social_options":{"image_generator_settings":{"template":"highway","enabled":false}}},"categories":[2246],"tags":[],"jetpack_publicize_connections":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
