{"id":58547,"date":"2020-10-27T11:06:42","date_gmt":"2020-10-27T09:06:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/?p=58547"},"modified":"2020-10-27T21:56:09","modified_gmt":"2020-10-27T19:56:09","slug":"interactive-research-and-development-south-africa-ird-sa-npc-job-vacancy-9","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/joblistsouthafrica.com\/interactive-research-and-development-south-africa-ird-sa-npc-job-vacancy-9.html","title":{"rendered":"Interactive Research and Development South Africa (IRD SA NPC) Job Vacancy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Interactive Research and Development South Africa (IRD SA NPC) is a South African Section 21 not-for-profit entity and an affiliate of Interactive Research and Development Global (IRD Global), and has fully operational offices in Johannesburg, Pretoria (Gauteng) and in Durban (KwaZulu-Natal).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title: Sub-District Coordinator<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location: <\/strong>City of Johannesburg x 2,<br \/>\nTshwane x 2,<br \/>\nWest Coast x 3<br \/>\nCape Winelands x 3<br \/>\n<strong>Employment type:<\/strong> Fixed term contract<br \/>\n<strong>Reporting<\/strong> to the <strong>Provincial Managers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Position Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>RESPONSIBILITY:<\/strong><br \/>\nOverall development and mentoring of personnel responsible for sub-district PROJECT implementation. Monitor and Evaluate project implementation at healthcare facilities within district\/sub-district. Provide, leadership, collaboration, consultation, education and research to reach the USAID LON objectives and goals.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1. DUTIES<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Sub -district manager will work directly with the District and Sub -district government officials to ensure regular review of the data and quality thereof as well as the programme performance.<\/li>\n<li>Work collaboratively with the sub-district\u00a0\u00a0 which require excellent communication and coordination skills.<\/li>\n<li>Develop schedules of meetings, agendas, workshops\/trainings, and maintain data integrity.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and provide support to the field staff to ensure that the project deliverables are executed according to the specifications<\/li>\n<li>Ensures collection of pertinent data from internal and external sources and monitors compliance with SOPs that speaks to clinical care and overall programme performance.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct site visits to ensure that all clinical and programmatic data is reviewed.<\/li>\n<li>Communicates with Sub-district and all field staff on an ongoing basis and is available to them by telephone\/email\/text.<\/li>\n<li>Plans, proposes and evaluates means to overcome identified barriers with regards to programme implementation<\/li>\n<li>Provide quality assurance support to ensure accurate data collection.<\/li>\n<li>Assumes responsibility for specific QA activities for the sites.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in internal audits.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains records of correspondence of faxes, emails, patient communication, etc.<\/li>\n<li>Reviews the work plans of the field staff and provide technical support as need be.<\/li>\n<li>Supports the field staff to ensure that all programmatic targets are met.<\/li>\n<li>Develops monthly reports and site visit reports for all activities.<\/li>\n<li>Develop SOP\u2019s and working practice guidelines and manage the implementation and rollout of the documents<\/li>\n<li>Conduct quarterly assessments as it pertains to programme performance<\/li>\n<li>Administrative Management of all sub-district staff.<\/li>\n<li>Conducts performance reviews of all assigned staff members<\/li>\n<li>Coaching of all field staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>2. REQUIREMENT:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum educational qualification MBCHB OR equivalent qualification applicable<\/li>\n<li>Current recognised registration with Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with Multi\/Extensive Drug-Resistant Tuberculosis after the time when applicant became registerable with HPCSA<\/li>\n<li>South African citizenship or a valid work visa<\/li>\n<li>Strong verbal, written and presentation skills in English and at least one other South African language<\/li>\n<li>Valid unendorsed driver\u2019s licence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3. EXPERIENCE:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Knowledge of South Africa\u2019s current evident-based TB\/DR-TB and TB-HIV programme management<\/li>\n<li>At least two years\u2019 experience in programme implementation and management<\/li>\n<li>Preferred experience in programme management in public primary care-based facilities in South Africa<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge and sensitivity to working with multi-cultural groups<\/li>\n<li>Experience in TB\/DR-TB and TB-HIV program monitoring and evaluation<\/li>\n<li>In developing and making professional presentations to present to relevant stakeholders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>4. SKILLS: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Understanding of South Africa\u2019s public health and development trends and approaches<\/li>\n<li>Self-motivated manager with an ability and flexibility to handling pressure situations<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary\/culture group<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyse and interpret data and write written reports<\/li>\n<li>Strong computer literacy, with proficiency in:<\/li>\n<li>Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Power Point and Outlook\/e-mail along with strong internet-based skills including methods of online communication (Skype, Social Media Platform, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Excellent organisational problem-solving skills<\/li>\n<li>Able to work under pressure and be proactive in motivating people to meet deadlines<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>To apply\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Interested candidates are welcome to apply, please provide two (2) current, relevant employment references.
