If so, we invite you to explore the possibility of joining us to play your part in Desmond Tutu Health Foundations\u2019 exciting future.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Job Title:\u00a0Research Nurse<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>Location:\u00a0<\/strong>Phillipi Vilage<br \/>\n<strong>Employment Type:\u00a0<\/strong>12 Months Fixed Term Contract<\/p>\n<p><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nursing Degree or Diploma and Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Registered Nurse<\/li>\n<li>At least 2 years nursing experience<\/li>\n<li>Nimaart trained<\/li>\n<li>As per study protocol, preference will be given to female applicants<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of study protocol \/ regulations<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of HIV and Sexually transmitted infections<\/li>\n<li>Excellent Computer literacy (Ms Office)<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Language proficiency in English and IsiXhosa<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work well under pressure and to maintain effectiveness during changing conditions<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work harmoniously with youth of diverse backgrounds and sexual orientation<\/li>\n<li>Client focused<\/li>\n<li>Excellent Administration skills<\/li>\n<li>Must be able to work as a member of a team and independently<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Decision making skills<\/li>\n<li>Building interpersonal relationships and partnerships<\/li>\n<li>Good Planning and organising skills<\/li>\n<li>Stress tolerance<\/li>\n<li>Resource management<\/li>\n<li>Willing to work flexible working hours including weekends as required<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Advantageous:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>At least 1 year experience in a research environment<\/li>\n<li>Good Clinical Practice (GCP) certification<\/li>\n<li>Human Subjects Protection (HSP) certification<\/li>\n<li>Sexual Reproductive Health Certificate (inclusive of Implanon insertion and removal)<\/li>\n<li>Previous work experience in HIV research and sexual health or with adolescents<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of an adolescent friendly clinical environment<\/li>\n<li>Valid Driver\u2019s licence code 08 with PDP<\/li>\n<li>Values fit:\u00a0 Passion Innovation Progress Integrity Respect Excellence<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing a welcoming and supportive environment for all clients regardless of age, race, gender or HIV status<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining strict client confidentiality<\/li>\n<li>Providing pre- and post-test\u00a0 counselling, as well as risk reduction counselling, for clients<\/li>\n<li>HIV testing<\/li>\n<li>Pregnancy testing<\/li>\n<li>Obtaining blood and urine samples, labelling and request relevant test<\/li>\n<li>PrEP Initiation<\/li>\n<li>Performing other client care procedures as required<\/li>\n<li>Entering data on electronic device.<\/li>\n<li>Communicating with clinics and other NGOs<\/li>\n<li>Assist with quality Control (QC) checks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>To apply<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Quote Job reference, submit CV, motivation letter with certified copy of highest qualification and details of three (3) current contactable referees to: Attention HR Manager <strong><a href=\"mailto:Jobs@hiv-research.org.za\">Jobs@hiv-research.org.za<\/a><\/strong> Job reference: #DTHF\/C024.
