Blood Donor Collections Manager (RPN\/SANC Registered Professional Nurse)
\nBased in Newcastle (Natal)
\nR35 605 per month ctc including medical aid, provident fund and bonus provision.
\nA well-known house hold name in the Medical NGO environment is looking to employ a customer service orientated, technical and experienced individual. The successful candidate will manage collection teams to ensure targets and objectives are met.
\nThe successful candidate must have:
\n\u2022 Registered Professional Nurse (RPN) NQF 5 \u2013 essential
\n\u2022 Code 8 Drivers license. (Manual) – essential
\n\u2022 Computer Literacy. (MS Office) – essential
\n\u2022 2-4 years supervisory and management experience – essential
\n\u2022 Current Registration with SANC \u2013 essential
\n\u2022 Current CPR Certificate
\n\u2022 Incumbent may be required to drive a company vehicle from time to time as per operational requirements.
\n\u2022 May be required to travel with overnight stays.
\n\u2022 Must be prepared to work overtime and variable hours within prescribed limits and conditions
\n\u2022 The incumbent will be required to be on his\/her feet for lengthy period, to carry loads of up to 14kg and assist with loading and off-loading of vehicles and climb stairs within reason
\nIdeal:
\n\u2022 Code 10 Drivers License (PDP).
\n\u2022 Management Certificate or Diploma (NQF 5).
\n\u2022 Meditech knowledge would be an advantage.
\n\u2022 2-4 years experience in a blood transfusion environment.
\n\u2022 Microsoft computer experience<\/p>\n
Your busy and challenging day will include but not limited to:
\n\u2022 To manage equipment and finances in a cost effective manner to achieve the operational objectives of procuring Sufficient, Safe\/ Low Risk Quality blood.
\n\u2022 To manage staff in order to achieve operational objectives.
\n\u2022 Ensures the procurement of sufficient, low risk\/ safe and quality blood as per agreed targets per branch.
\n\u2022 Ensures that all quality systems are adhered too, to maintain and achieve accreditation requirements.
\n\u2022 Ensures optimal clinic Operations.
\n\u2022 To manage the effective administration of Collections Department.
\n\u2022 Managing a budget in area of responsibility according to SAP variances
\n\u2022 Safety Registers and Logbooks
\n\u2022 Calibration Certificates and Maintenance Documents
\n\u2022 Monthly audit of allocated cost centres and proof of corrective action taken
\n\u2022 SAP variance reporting
\n\u2022 Monthly petty cash reconciling and reports
\n\u2022 Achieving Operational objectives of procuring Sufficient, Safe\/Low risk Quality Blood
\n\u2022 Technical training planning
\n\u2022 HR Documentation and Activities
\n\u2022 Customer service reports
\n\u2022 Tracking customer complaints to ensure all cases are satisfactorily resolved
\n\u2022 Ensuring optimal clinic operations
\n\u2022 Studies and distributes appropriate current literature\/journals to add to the maintenance of professional knowledge amongst collection staff
\n\u2022 Dealing with contractors , centre management and cleaning companies
\n\u2022 Conducting performance management
\n\u2022 Mentoring, coaching and reviewing to take appropriate steps to correct problems<\/p>\n
